Charming, Clean, and Wonderful! We have stayed here twice and will definitely stay again. The staff is not only professional but friendly, gracious, and helpful. What a charming place and close to all the shopping and eating downtown. Also just a few miles from the Biltmore. This was the first major outing I took since covid started and as a cancer patient, I can say with confidence I felt very safe staying here and can highly recommend it. The food is excellent! Make sure you eat breakfast at the hotel! With the charm and age of the hotel come creaky floors, but they are not obnoxious. The hotel staff graciously asks that guests be especially quiet during the late evening and early morning hours. We actually didn't hear people like we have at other hotels. It was probably quieter here than at other places we have stayed.

10/10 would recommend! We were only in town for one night for a wedding. We needed to check in early which they had no problem accommodating. There was a complimentary charcuterie board and bottle of wine waiting for us in our room. The room is VERY spacious (deluxe room) it is basically a little apartment. Everything was very clean and neat. Complimentary breakfast was FANTASTIC! The location is also very convenient!

what a Gem!Friends recommended this B&B and we were so pleased, wish we could have stayed longer! Charming atmosphere and so many extras! The breakfasts were dellicious - kudos to the chef! So many home baked items complmentary daily, cookies, brownies, muffins of all kinds. Daily happy hour meat/chese/vege/fruit platter in our room hit the spot. Bottle of Prosecco upon arrival. We booked during bonus bundle offering and received bottle of wine, 2 wine glasses, tote bag, 2 koozies, a souvenier tshirt and snacks! Convenient to downtown Asheville, many restaurants and Biltmore Estate. Looking for reasons to go back soon!

SHEER PERFECTION!Asheville was my final destination at the end of a 2-week getaway with my small terrier and I could not have chosen a more wonderful last stop than The Princess Anne. It was so much more than a hotel; it was a trip back in time. From the gracious lobby...to the sprawling dining room...to the grandeur of the library....every inch of The Princess Anne was a delight. Manager Samantha was welcoming and informative about the check-in procedures and COVID regulations (social distancing was extremely well handled). I was greeted by individually wrapped baked goods in the lobby that rivaled any Starbucks pastry. My "room" was actually a "suite" with a living room and kitchen complete with a Nespresso machine! The rooms were "1924" in every sense with radiator heat and older furnishings that were perfect for the space. The technology, however, was pure 2021...great internet connection and two large-screen TV's. Menus slipped under the door early in the morning outlined the breakfast selections. I chose a wonderful ham omelette with brie and carmelized onions. I casually mentioned to my server how wonderful the lobby pastries had been the night before and she brought me a slice of the chef's signature dish....German chocolate cake (I had planned to save it for later; didn't happen) I also have to mention two other hotel features that I really appreciated. The elevator. It's a small elevator with an old-fashioned "scissor gate" stretching across the opening; only the elevator operator was missing! And finally...the room key. It's hard to explain but getting a KEY...a real KEY....was somehow comforting. These are crazy times and not the easiest times in which to be a traveler. But step inside The Princess Ann and step inside a simpler time. It truly is a gem.

Great stayGreat hotel only a short distance to downtown Asheville. Staff was extremely friendly and breakfast was amazing. Although COVID cancelled the evening social hour we enjoyed the complimentary charcuterie plate and bottle of wine that we received at check in. Will definitely return on our next trip to Asheville.
