  Nice pub.

  The pub itself is quite small, but staff were friendly, good choice of drinks and an open fire to warm you up. Serves food, menu looked good. Made for a nice stop before going back up the hill to our accommodation! We would return.

  Quick drink

  Very nice pub with a lovely friendly typically Falmouth friendly welcome. The pub is very clean with covid measures well followed, very well recommended. Would definitely recommend stopping by if you are in the town.

  Rude & Incompetent

  A female took our booking over the phone as they were experiencing problems with the booking system on their website, everything seemed fine. We had driven from Southampton to Falmouth that morning for a break (it was our 19th Wedding Anniversary) and when we tried to book in our bags late afternoon we were told by the man by the bar we had cancelled our booking, he even showed my name scribbled out in his little book. We tried to explain that we had done no such thing but he couldn't care less, just shrugged his shoulders. There was not one hotel available in the Sth West of England that night - I called them all!, so the rest of our holiday was cancelled and we had to drive all the way back to Southampton that night. He was one horrible man, didn't even apologise. To give a review of the actual pub it looked like a small grotty sports bar, not welcoming or a nice place to have a drink.

  Great place

  The owners are really friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast..(not this time as its lockdown, but last time I stayed in September.) Great price and lovely spacious room. Good location right next to the pier.

  Friendly local pub

  Weve drank in here on quite a few occasions - great choice of ciders and ales and very friendly staff and landlord. All Covid protocols followed - restrictions on numbers and the landlord has created some plastic screens too - ideally situated for people walking through town.
