  Well situated

  Stayed for 3 nights at this welcoming guest house. The room was clean and comfortable with a nice balcony overlooking bamboo. The road is quiet and you can walk to jungle beach from here. The town beach is just around the corner. The owner was very pleasant and helpful with our travel plans.

  Beautiful view, excellent location, big and clean rooms, friendly staff

  Very friendly and kind staff, owner was so kind to kook for us seafood that we get from the local fish market. Part of the rooms have wonderful view to Unawatuna bay, rooms are big and clean. Location is very convenient - 30 meters away from the beach. It is also very quiet place, almost none mosquitoes.

  Hotel refused to honour booking

  We arrived after 24 hours travelling to be shown our rooms and then turfed out within minutes, despite having paid Expedia 4 months earlier. The hotel owner is blatantly unscrupulous, merrily overbooking and then accepting the highest bidder. Worse still was the abject disregard shown by Expedia who offered customers service that combined condescension and indifference to equal degree. Please note that the owner claims he has contacted Expedia, requesting to be withdrawn from the site. Expedia do not deny this, instead specialising in half answers and concentrating on not allowing a review to be published on their site. The property is still being advertised, so the same experience awaits others. Primrose and Expedia : an appalling combination, utter;y unworthy of the wider beauty of Sri Lanka.

  Not a bad place to stay Tissa the owner was very good to us arranging a taxi to and from the airport. The rooms in the Primrose were quite good for the price. The Primrose is 50 yards to the beach which had a few bars and restaurants within easy walking distance 400sl rupee for a large bottle of beer. Tuk tuk to Galle was 15 minutes well worth the visit price being 400 to a 1000 sl rupees. Would stay here again if coming to Unawatuna.

  screaming crazy owner

  few weeks before i was there & it was a such a terrible place & the owner is mad .was in first floor room.room is uncomfortable & i think bathroom has to repace the things .dangerous stair case too.i heard every season having robbery also in this place.i just was one day & next day i moove to another place.i cant recommend here
