Great staff, nice facilities, terrible foodWe were impressed with the staff and their willingness to do anything possible to help guests. The grounds were fairly well maintained and our room was nice. They only have Japanese language TV and no DVD player in the room so you might want to bring a computer and movies if you need entertainment. The beds are standard Japanese beds (which means hard) and the pillows are some of the worst I've ever seen. We brought our own and it was suitcase-space well used. On the down side is the food. Our trip came with two breakfasts and two dinners. Each dinner buffet had one dish which was pretty good and the rest was anywhere from poor to awful. The breakfasts also did not live up to the typical Japanese breakfast buffet. While I recommend the resort I would not recommend adding meals to your package. We were able to find excellent food off-site for less money.

Biggest hotel in a secluded island thoughSituated on a secluded island, the hotel itself is old but well maintained so there is no facilities that are worn out or whatever. I believe they do a small furnishing regularly. I stayed in a category A ocean view room with jacuzzi, which is believed to be the most expansive room in the hotel. Food - Catering service was bad enough for its opening hours. When we arrived at the hotel at 3 pm, all the restaurants at the hotel were already closed so we had to go to the supermarket in town to buy some lunch box (banto) which was not reasonable for a proper resort. Transportation - I took a domestic flight from Naha which took about 1 hr but it was really costly. The hotel offers free shuttle bus service from and to airport without reservation, but I recommend you still make a call to them to secure a seat. For local transportation, you can only have a choice - taxi. Around 5 mins to the main street on the island - Ginza-tori, where you can buy some food and snacks at the supermarket there. Weather - It is still too cold in early April so I do not suggest people to go here for beach and swimming. The swimming pool was in renovation when I was there and the sea water was just too cold for swimming so I ended up staying in a hotel for 1 night only (originally it was 2 nights). Service - Service was average though. The front desk tried their best but they still could not follow my speaking. I ended up writing Chinese characters in order to communicate with them.

Beautiful Beach ResortWe stayed the night at the Pricia Resort since it is close to the port from Okinawa. The venue is easy to find, and the layout was pretty throughout the trails to each section of the resort. We rented a small room, and the beds were definitely tough to sleep on. The rooms are large enough for luggage and space, and the bathroom was great. We were the farthest section from the beach, but it only took a few minutes to walk there. The beach was gorgeous, and the water felt great. There are a few rentals that are offered if you want to bodyboard, jet ski, or conduct several other activities. There is also a small pool that guests can enjoy, but no tattoos can be displayed. We had a Japanese style dinner, and the display was huge! Everything had an unique taste, and we left with full bellies. The hibiscus beer was sweet, and they plucked a flower from outside, as it had an ant still living inside. The tours offered were plentiful, and we took the sea turtle and Yurigahama boat tour during this stay. Yurigahamas water was pristine, and it was a blast searching for star sand. There was some waves that knocked our boat around, but the driver did what he could to keep it steady. The highlight was seeing the sea turtles, and the boat was able to ride around in order to see them through the glass bottom or on the side. The entire experience was supposed to be 180 minutes, but we were back on the beach earlier than that. This was a great trip, and the resort was good for the cost. The breakfast buffet was really good, and I have to praise the staff for their professionalism. This is definitely a nice resort on Yoron.

It's OK for a Small IslandThe ferry arrives around 1150 and it's a quick bus ride to the resort. Couldn't check into the hotel until 1500 so didn't like waiting. It has a convenient store right next to it but closes at 2000 so get your beer and snacks early. Staff was was friendly but the beds were tough to sleep on. Has a nice beach if the weather is good.
