  My wife and I stayed here for one night on our trip from Alberta back to Vancouver. While the facility itself is showing its age and in need of an upgrade, the room was clean and well appointed. The lone person at the front desk was friendly and helpful. The first room we checked into smelled of stale smoke but the lady at reception quickly assigned us a new room once we let her know. I think it is more a 3.5 / Good rating rather than a full 4.0 / Very Good. I would consider staying here again.

  Pricey & Alot of Rules

  I booked this property based on the reviews & pictures. I'm sure pre-pandemic it was as awesome as you'd read. However, the over the top rules made no sense and it was uncomfortable. You are required to wear a mask throughout the entire property. Check in with a mask, there's plexi glass between you & the receptionist, she's wearing a mask as well, but can pull it down to talk to you? (night check in). They won't clean the rooms for YOUR safety, but leave a bin of clean linens & toilitries in the middle of the hall for your convenience & everyone else's, so we can all touch them. Makes alot of sense? Our primary reason for staying was we were traveling & it was my boyfriends birthday, so I booked this very inflated priced room because it says pools were open late & so was Ricky's & the Cantina bar-which also said it specialized in Mexican cuisine but that wasn't true, it was all just Ricky's menu, & they closed at 8pm -not at all what the website says, hugely disappointing. The pool/hot tub is smaller than the pictures look, & we were chased down by front desk because we didn't shower in our rooms, forgot to sign in, & you have to lock the door behind you? I understand the rules are due to cvid, but this is over the top. (make sure you don't look up because the ceilings are very filthy in that area). Overall, the room was clean, the staff was friendly, the beds were too soft for me - but that's my issue. Get a room that doesn't face the noisy highway. Relax the rules a bit or at least take away the open bin, it literally makes no sense.

  Good choice

  Stayed on a Sunday. Place was still busy. Pool area is just of lobby. A family group can book half hr times. Pool and hot tub all to yourself. We had a king room facing the main road. We're concerned about noise since the large trucks park outside but we were ok. The room was modern, clean and very comfortable. Would recommend. They were doing covid protocols but apparently in BC masks are still optional. Did takeout as being from Ontario we didn't want to take any unnecessary risks. Beautiful area and places to eat .

  Nice stay

  We enjoyed our stay here for 2 nights they have a special. Stay one night and get second 50% off. Rooms seemed fairly clean and hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. They phoned us after we checked in to see how the room was. A few small issues...the sink tap was loose but it didn't affect us. The room had a slight smoking smell, maybe really stale or from cigarettes. We just opened the window and turned the fan on.

  Pictures are deceiving

  The hotel looks good in the photos and on website, but upon entering the lobby the smell of cigarette smoke is noticeable. The rooms also have a funky odour. Holiday Inn is definitely the best choice, but their WiFi was not operational on this day. Their property/facilities are very new. Prestige Inn rooms have some ongoing upgrades, like the bathrooms, but the toilet levers are horrible. Walking to the elevators, you pass the laundry facility for the hotel, not very appealing.
