  Warning!

  There are two points to choose this Hotel but I'm to notify in advance. It is a three floor mini-hotel with high floors. The stairs are narrow and each is higher than ordinary one. In the case of unexpected situation it may become dangerous. Breakfasts are rather poor and there is no specially cooked food just boiled eggs and porridge every days for the week we've spent there. One can use microwave oven to warm something. The bed in Luxe apartment for two was strange. It seemed they store a collection of mattresses piled one on another on the bed. There were three. They moved and the sleeping place was very high. It seemed someone had already used your bed as hair were found on the pillow and sheet. The plan of the apartment is strange and you are to switch off some equipment to swith on your even a kattle, as none socket is for that. The staff is extremely kind and in one day you are ready to forgive all. But after three days you begin to envy the habitants of any other hotel. The place is good for those who like opera and bellet theatre as the entrance is right behind the back side of the Mariinskiy theatre. It's possible to visit it every day. It's far from metro station and not good to walk to the nearest station. The nearest bus stop is in 7 minutes to walk.

  Good 3-star hotel near Mariinsky Theater

  For travelers looking to be close to the Mariinsky Theater, this hotel is a good choice. The price is very reasonable for the location, accommodations and service. As a frequent business and leisure traveler, I tend to require and stay in 4-star hotels, but this 3-star hotel met my needs during a two-week stay and I will stay here again for the location and value. The hotel is located in an older building, but the rooms are well maintained. Furnishings are a little spartan, but sufficient. High ceilings and large windows are a plus. Room sizes and views vary. I stayed in a double room (2 single beds) which was a nice size and larger than the rooms with a double bed. Rooms either face the street - street noise did not bother me as neighborhood is fairly quiet - or the courtyard - very quiet but you may be looking across at a wall. Wireless internet worked well. Air conditioning worked well. Common space is small - breakfast area (which you can use at other times) and lobby desk area, but there are only 15 rooms. Lobby is on the first floor and rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors. No elevator, you have to climb the stairs. Staff helped me with my luggage. Do not be put off by the entrance - you are buzzed into the building (a little depressing) and then into the hotel portion of this residential building where it is more attractive. Security is good with desk manned 24 hours. The staff is VERY nice and accommodating - arranging taxis, printing opera tickets, emails, etc. I only went to breakfast once. If you want something simple in the morning and plan to eat lunch, hotel breakfast will suffice, otherwise go out to breakfast. There are restaurants with hearty breakfasts within a block. The one drawback for me was that with only 15 rooms there is not an in-house dry cleaning/laundry service. The outside service which hotel uses takes a few days and is okay for jeans, but I would not use them for cocktail or business attire.

  great for a visit to the Mariinsky theatre

  If you need a good hotel near Mariinsky theatre is not very expensive, this is the case. The rooms are not very big and not worth the wait Royal luxury. But cozy and the staff is very friendly. Around many good restaurants, so drinking coffee is the best out there. A great combination of price and quality for not picky travelers. In our next visit to the Mariinsky theatre perhaps here again will stay in this hotel.

  don't dare to order this hotel the owner is not honest don't believe what you see in photo.

  Breakfast is not eatable, Rooms with the smell of moss, Air conditioning doesn't just work for ventilation. Bath water is not hot. I order hotel for 7 night I have to run after one night. I am a professional electrical engineer that would be life-threatening to use electricity in the rooms of hotel. pins that caused a constant noise from an electric arc were tucked wires and sockets with large holes to which the god was transmitted through the small pin television causing permanent noise of electric arc, cables cable were cut, There is no maintenance on site and must wait 24 hours. The hotel owner/manger you can't talk to him you have to wait for him he will come in his time. The receptionist will try to convince you to pay cash and you will receive a discount so that you do not have to issue a receipt. Credit card payment requires him to issue a receipt. If you want to leave after you point out failures ahead of time you will not receive your money for the rest of the period they simply rob you and ignore the problems you raised as far as you can even wait two days for three days to correct the deficiencies
