AvoidFirstly we booked through booking.com but they took down my review so be warned when using booking.com. This has to be the most revolting room we have ever stayed in. I was going to leave immediately but we were so tired we decided to stay. This is a hostel for asylum seekers. Over 60% of the rooms are occupied by permanent people from non European countries. Most had tables and chairs and other belongings outside their room - some were cooking on stoves. The room had a smell that I cannot describe and was rotten. There were literally hundreds of burnt cigarettes marks everywhere - on the bed , sink and cupboard. The noise from other tenants went on until the earlier hours. I did not think my car would be safe in the on site car park. We didnt wait for the breakfast. We left after 4 hours - be warned.

Scary place , not a hotel but a refugee camp!Made a massive mistake booking this overnight stop on our way to the med. The minute we pulled up we were being watched by the residents and worried to leave the car. If we hadnt paid up front we would have left within 5 mins. Manager very pleasant however the room was the worse place I have ever stayed. Smelled , dirty walls and bathroom had cigarette burns over sink. Dark damp room. Outside the room are what I can only describe as a refugee camp who were clearly living there. Tried to leave a review with booking .com but they would not publish our open and honest review so there is definitely a scam there where they are trying to hide what this place is being used for. TV didnt work and there were no towels in the room so had to go and ask for some. Unable to comment on breakfast as wanted to get away a soon as we could.

DecentWe stayed at this hotel as part of a road trip and chose this hotel due to its very cheap price. The quality was as expected, rooms were very small, however this was expected for the price. I would recommend this hotel only for a short stay in Reims.

A bed for the night during le confinement.Returned from an essential trip to France during the lockdown that was imposed while we were away and unable to stay at our preferred hotel. We knew this premiere classe from years ago and reluctantly booked. First the positives. Its very easy to find straight off the motorway, just a couple of minutes, and theres a very big le Clerc shopping centre close to the junction so you can fill up with fuel at a decent price. The reception staff were pleasant and helpful letting us access hot water from the food counter to make a hot drink in the evening. However this is a grim place at the best of times but worse in the winter during a lockdown. We were allocated room 1 on the ground floor which is an accessible room for disabled guests (we didnt require this). It was larger than average with a wet room type of shower room. The decoration was very depressing and the room had a farmyard smell. There were no restaurants (indeed the Buffalo Grill that stood on site has now been demolished) so we bought food from the supermarket to eat in the room perched on the bed as there wasnt a chair or stool. The bed was comfortable but with meagre pillows. Despite the hotel being occupied quite highly it was quiet. The receptionist next day explained that the residents were housed by associations, by which we understood homeless people. We have no qualms about that, you cant leave people to sleep on the streets. However paying guests need to be aware of that. Breakfast was limited to prepackaged croissants and sliced bread but there was yoghurt and compote and the hot drinks vending machine was available. The other residents were provided with their allowance on a tray and didnt come into contact with the paying guests. At the end of the day we were all in need of a bed for the night in a global crisis and we were fortunate enough to be able to drive away a few hours later and had a home to go back to.
