DisappointedRoom is ok but nothing special , our room has what is supposed to be an outdoor tub but is really just a bathtub and if you slide the door open you can see outside. Food was good but not great, poor presentation. Overall was not so impressed and at over 70000¥ for our family of 3 I definitely didn't feel like I was staying at a "premier resort ".

Nice resort hotelIt is located in the Shima area with a great sea view. Shima is where the 2016 G7 Summit was held. There are so many golf courses and many French restaurants around the area. On their website I found the African suite quite impressive and therefore I chose this hotel. The hotel is located on the hillside slope facing west, a great direction to see the sunset. My wife picked up some pearl products on our way to the hotel in Kashikojima. This area is famous for cultured pearl products and oyster. The hotel is not very big but with decent facilities. By looking at the layout I guess all the rooms are facing west to see the sunset. The room I chose was very big, about 50 square meters, and with a balcony. If you open the window in the bathroom, you will see the sunset from the bath tub. But I found the room is a bit dark even when I turned on all the lights in the room. The best selling point of the onsen is its west facing direction. I found the restaurant very nice to dine in. Service is very good, and food is decent. Ise ebi (lobster) is the highlight. Since it is a resort style hotel, atmosphere is more lively than ordinary onsen hotel. Breakfast is buffet style and with sufficient and good quality food. For the price I paid and the service received, it is a very good choice coming to this hotel.

Very nice place for the family visitWe stayed for just a night. The check in staff was fast and friendly. The room was huge with the very comfortable beds and extra Tatami room to relax. The bath room has a huge window overlooking the ocean. Also there is a huge balcony only to see the ocean and the horizon. The ocean was crystal clear. There is a huge public baths for men and women. They have buffet dinner and breakfast in a restaurant over looking the ocean and at dinner you can watch the sunset. The food including Japanese and Western style dishes is pretty good, sushi, tempura, sashimi, steak, chicken, vegetables and salad. The freshly cooked rice was delicious. The pool was not big but was nicely located over the ocean and there is a staircase to go down to the beach. You have to pay 100 en for the towels and 300 yen for the beach umbrella and beach picnic mats. It should have been all free. The food they serve at the pool is very limited. Also there is no one to serve the guest on the beach. They should have a little hut to provide the guests for the deck chairs, beach umbrellas and drinks etc. there were a lot of know da and family on the beach so it would be very helpful and bring this hotel status as a true resort hotel. Also they close the pool and the beach at 5 pm which is way to early to enjoy it. Month less the stay was enjoyable with the very friendly staff.
