  Exceptional Service

  With 22 people attending a conference, it can be difficult to accommodate every person's request - but this was no struggle for Cosmos and his excellent team. From dietary requirements to rooms specifics, everyone got what they wanted. Didn't have to ask twice. The facilities were great. Overall Amazing staff, Food was magnificent and the Game drives were enough to fill the gaps. The only thing that we could have changed was having all guests stay at one lodge and the conference held at the lodge area - driving in the dark was challenging for a few. Suggestions: more lighting and bigger signage for the night. Maybe an entertainment room with the pool table, soccer table, table tennis, tv or music, etc. Extra special thanks to Cosmos, Reggie, Jason, Thandi and Sinazo

  You have to spend money to make money

  My experience was rather poor as billing at the end of the stay was NOT what was quoted and new charges were given without making us aware. If there was an issue or a mistake made - it should have been brought to our attention immediately and not when we are checking out. As seen in other reviews, if you are looking for the big 5 you wont find them here. There are plenty of buck and zebras and if you are lucky you may spot the elephants. Caged lions are also found near the restaurant. The outdoor play area and restaurant pond leave nothing to be desired for, with broken equipment and a few ducks swimming in a badly maintained pond which is overgrown with slime and dying surrounding plants. The other animal pens have 2 angry geese, shy rabbits and the odd emu with a scattering of peacocks. The rooms are clean and neat - however one of our rooms had a broken shower door and the other room had a blocked shower drain. Food/Beverage -The coffee station in the living area ran out of milk by the afternoon and when we returned by 9 pm it still had not been restocked. -The food was good however on on our 2nd night the buffet ran out of soup and dessert by 7:45 which left those arriving to dinner scrounging for what was left. -The bar was not well-stocked as according to what was offered on the menu. The television in the living space did not work the 2nd day which really left nothing to do when not on the game drives. There weren't even any board games or a deck of cards to allow guest to amuse themselves. This business has great potential if the owner or managers would spend a little money to get more people to come in as day visitors.

  Very efficient

  Very wonderful staff Received with love Excellent buffets / food Game drive is fun and relaxing And a visit to the tribal village was organized for us with handcraft etc Really amazing and the elephants are beautiful

  What a wonderful stay

  The service we experienced was of the highest quality. Every member of the staff gave superlative attention to detail. The quality of the food was of the highest order. The room was perfectly clean and oh so big. There is no air-conditioning but the fan was very efficient. If you need to wind down the serenity of this place is just what you need.

  Happy to see no caged lions!

  We were concerned when after we had already made a booking when pictures surfaced of lions in cages at Mpongo. They seem to have given that abhorrent, cruel and greedy practice up. Good to see and hoping that it is for good. Otherwise the stay was pleasant. Staff are very friendly. Food was lekker. Two light bulbs were out in the room, so perhaps a walk about by management is in order. We didnt get to go on a game drive unfortunately as we didnt have time. Good stop over and 40 mins from the airport.
