businessHotel and room were clean. Some fool decided to march up and down in what seemed like clogs from 5.30am to 9am in the room above. To claim on the "goodnight guarantee" has been like pulling teeth too. The member of staff on reception was taking an internal call and made me wait 10 minutes before telling me she was not interested. She was talking to her manager on the phone and did not pause even though there was a queue of about 5 people at her reception desk waiting for her to finish her very public little natter on speaker phone. I was assured there was no building work so it must have been staff or a customer. Maybe they were preparing for a parade? Or maybe they were getting ready for a route march. Maybe an aerobics session? Who knows?

Nice Stay and Pleasant StaffIts obviously not the Ritz but you get what you pay for. Bed, bath/shower, toiletries, towels.kettle and tea and coffee sachets. There a tv and overall its perfectly fine for anyone staying for a couple of nights. Bed is comfortable and adequate as is the small table and chair. Yes I liked it. The only downside is that our room was next to such a busy road and traffic noise kept me awake. Free Wi-fi is slow and then theres the pay for premier Wi-fi. Breakfast is over the road at the Beefeater. Not bad, slightly undercooked egg for my liking but edible. The only downside is the walk down and back up for anyone with mobility issues.

Great Stay on a sad occasionAfter travelling from Scotland for a family Funeral, we were given a lovely disabled room on the ground floor. The room was very clean and roomy and the bed comfortable. Extra pillows were requested and delivered immediately. The short walk to the 'Rusty Cutter' for food was well lit in the evening and easily accessible. The menu was good and the breakfast well presented and tasty. Thank you all. R

Disappointing stayArrived late on Friday evening to stay just one night due to early morning meeting the following day. The 1st room I was allocated had a strong smell of dampness, i asked to be moved to another room. The 2nd room I was allocated has paper thin walls meaning I could hear the couple next door chatting to the early hours of Saturday morning. I eventually had to stick toilet paper in my ears to drown out the sounds and try and get some sleep, there was also a strong smell of cigarette smoke in the hallway leading to my room. Overall a very disappointing stay.
