  Very Good

  Having recently staying at a resort at Coffs Harbour and being very disappointed. It was a amazing relief to stay at such a place with friendly welcoming staff. Stunning furnishing and decorations. We have booked in to go back again.

  GREAT place to stay! Fresh coffee pods daily, clean, tesla charging and great tv!

  We stayed for 3 nights and it was wonderful. We forgot to get our border pass printed and went up to the front desk and it was so simple and lovely for the staff to print it for us with no fuss at all. The hotel room was VERY clean, they refilled our coffee pods each morning which was a delight and the bathroom products were nice ones vs some of the gross kinds you get in other hotels! The wifi was free and strong as well as the TV being large and easy to use (could maybe have a netflix option like you get in many city hotels but this is just a tiny idea). This hotel cares for the environment as well having a Tesla charging station AND they give you a drink/meal voucher if you opt to not have your room refreshed! A recycling bin would be one other tip I'd love to see, but still, this hotel tries to do it's best and we give 5 stars for that!! If you're in Armidale my wife and I highly recommend that you stay at the Powerhouse, you won't be disappointed.

  Well appointed rooms and good size.

  A group of us enjoyed our hotel experience ( though not the restaurant - seperate review). Check in efficient and friendly. Rooms superior with all amenities. Would surely have to be the best hotel in Armidale - pity, no swimming pool.

  Great hotel but restaurant is a complete rip-off

  We spent a night at the Powerhouse Hotel Armidale by Rydges in mid December 2020. We made the booking direct with the hotel, as we have Rydges membership which entitles us to a discount. We understood that to extend to food and drink too, as has been the case with other Rydges hotels we have stayed at over the years. The room was very comfortable with a nice modern bathroom. However, the restaurant prices were a complete and utter rip off. The prices were just ridiculous for a country hotel. Having driven all day, we didn't want to go looking for a restaurant outside, but we wished we had. We asked for the bill to be charged to our room. The next day we handed in our keys and were told the charges would be put on our nominated credit card. When we checked it, we found that the restaurant (and hotel reception) had not extended the member discount for our meal and drinks. We called the hotel a day or so later to enquire and were told it is up to us to ask the restaurant the apply the member discount. Reception had not bothered to apply the discount either. Seriously? That has never happened before. That type of attitude is not a reflection of good customer service. They didn't even bother to extend some goodwill and credit us with the the discount we should have received.

  A touch of class in rural NSW

  A well appointed hotel that is clearly trying to provide a high quality experience. I had a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment with full kitchen and it met every expectation. A great tapas and wine bar with a nice mood is located downstairs as is their main restaurant. Menu for both places was diverse and surprisingly diverse and the food was first class. An extensive wine, cocktail and spirits list added to the endeavours of the venue.
