Nice, but..Nice hotel in forest and lakes areas. Hotel is on distance of any city. Saint Alexis des monts is at 15 kms distance. It means you need all services from the hotel. The rooms in the hotel are okay, but small and bit outdated. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are good, but not more than one day.

Beautiful country hotel in the middle of nowhere! We got to spend 2 nights in Lac Blanc last month and we had a very enjoyable experience. We were kinda on the clock as there were so many things we wanted to do and so little time! You have to bear in mind that this place is in the middle of nowhere so you will be spending all your time there (reading some other comments, people do not seem to realize that) but there is so much to do. We did dogs sledging, trout fishing (David was great!), cross country skiing, helicopter ride and we could have done so much more if time had allowed! Our room was very spacious, overlooking the lake, and just very comfortable with a nice chalet vibe about it. The food was lovely and they really have a nice menu with an amazing selection; all we had was delicious. Breakfast was very nice too. We got to have a drink in their bar which seems to be popular with snow motobikers! but we did not mind that, it was fun and very different for us! We also went to the pool, it was a bit hard having to get out of the hotel to actually go to the pool on a very snowy day as there is no access from inside!! and one comment I must make as i have seen before in previous comments is that the pool could be a tad warmer! But overall it is a nice set up with beautiful views! We got caught in a snow storm as we were meant to hit the road to Quebec city in the morning, so we waited until it passed a bit. Another thing I would like to feed back is that although the staff there were great at removing the snow of the hotel decks, the car park needed a bit of attention and our car was completely caught in the snow so it took us a while to reach it. We asked for help and they helped us with de snowing no problem but keep in mind that if you are not used to this type of climate (like us!!) the hotel may seem a bit difficult to access because of the snow. Overall we had a fab stay, keeping very fond memories of our time there and we would like to compliment the staff as all of them were always ever so friendly and helpful! we would like to come back in the summer to see what it is like! a complete different scenery!

Great ..... if you like fishingBeautiful scenery and lake which the hotel is right on the banks of. Restaurant is good too but the staff are overwhelmed at weekends. The Bedrooms in the main building are small and shabby, but clean. There is nothing else very close at all so you are reliant on the hotel, but heres not much to do if you dont fish. There are some walking trails if you are happy finding your own way around. The few trips the hotel run (apart from fishing )are French speaking only.

Nature on your doorstep with creature comfortsFantastic three night break at this get-away-from-it-all hotel. Located on a large estate with lots of lakes, it offers all the mod cons you need but in a beautifully remote and wild position. Guests can use the large indoor pool/sauna, plus boats/kayaks/canoes on the main lake. Lots of extra activities that you can pay for - highly recommend the bear/beaver trip led by v knowledgeable guide. Hotel has bar/restaurant & beach. We stayed in one of the very well-equipped self catering cottages around the lake (local supermarket 15 mins drive). What makes this place really stand out is the wildlife on yr doorstep - eagles, vultures, beaver, red squirrels, deer etc. Wild Canada but with all the hotel creature comforts you need.
