  VERY GRAND HOTEL

  The hotel is extremely busy. Five weddings at a time. Definitely do not get a room by the elevator as this is a very social hotel. The room was clean and the bed hard and comfortable. We had a great inclusive breakfast with all the trimmings. The hotel is a happening place for functions. It is also centrally located for getting around by car. WE WOULD GO AGAIN.

  Don't Recommend for Business Function

  I worked at a business function taking place in several meeting rooms. The room I was in was not clean and there was glitter all in the carpet from a previous event. The bathroom had stalls with no toilet paper. The woman at the front desk was rude and seemed not to care when issues were brought forward. Seems the place has gone downhill.

  Friendly Staff, Dated Hotel

  We stayed here while in town for a friends wedding. The staff was very friendly at check-in. The actual room itself was very dated. Im sure this hotel was beautiful back in the day, but it is in need of some love. Our tub drain was so slow, I was standing in water up to my ankles while showering.

  Indifferent staff

  The staff was indifferent when I was promised parking and none available. For the coffee break "bagels" were served, anyone familiar with Lenders bagels? That's what they were like. I decided to go elsewhere for lunch based on the bagels. I was not disappointed with my luncheon choice-away from the hotel.

  Civic Center Performance Stay

  Planned an overnight stay in order to attend an event at the adjacent Civic Center. Despite many critical reviews we found this hotel to be very accommodating and clean.The attached garage had handicapped parking which was conveniently located next the the elevators which brought you down to the lobby desk, restaurant and bar. We had a room on the 10th floor which had a westward view of the Hudson River and bridge crossing. The free breakfast was adequate but could have had an omelette station, FRESH bagels, muffins and a waffle station similar to the popular chain motels. Although the decor and finishes are dated it was a good experience and value. We would go back again.
