Holiday of a Lifetime because of Potamaki
Difficult to know where to start as Potamaki just kept on giving. From the moment we arrived it was pleasantries. The friendliness was obvious from the outset. It wasn't long before I felt like family. Ok, so I'll start with the hotel first, it is spotless, in a great location, rooms just amazing, views to die for. Enough of a choice in buffet for everyone, breakfast and dinner. This hotel has upped the ante in a huge way to conform with Covid guidelines and it was done seamlessly. Now for the staff, they just could not do enough for you. They treat you like their very own family. It is a family run hotel and it shows. Nothing was a problem. It became obvious that I wasn't the only one to think this place is a piece of magic, people started extending their stay, including myself by many weeks. I felt I was at home. I am afraid to leave anyone out by naming names but I have to mention Jerry, Giorgos, Victoria, Spiros, Sokrates, Vasilis, Olga, the beautiful girls that looked after my room and reception, Horace and all the beautiful women that could not do enough to make you feel welcome. All of the restaurant staff, thank you to all for making what should have been 12 days and turned out to be 4.5 weeks, a time of my life. I'm not mentioning my room number as I want it to be available for me when I want to return but let's say, they are all beautiful and I, personally like sea view but some might prefer pool or mountain view, you have all the options at the Potamaki. This hotel in Benitses is special and clearly from all the returning guests it will remain on my list. It is near an array of restaurants if you fancy eating out. Bus stop directly across road to Corfu town, nice journey. Beach directly across road from hotel which you will see from photos on hotel website. If you choose to use beach, you pay for sunbeds but hey, they don't stop there, they bring you a beer at the same cost (or any drink you want), this is just a way of ensuring the guests of the hotel have the option of using the sunbeds, I think but is so pleasant. Poolside is so comfortable too, lovely pool and kids pool also. I would highly recommend this hotel for any type of traveller, single, couples, families. I very nearly forgot to mention the entertainment. I had such a great few nights enjoying the Greek dancers, they danced their hearts out and I have huge admiration for them, they put on a great show and entertained everyone fabulously. Thank you to all at Potamaki Beach Hotel. Will never forget 2020, a year of tough times for all but you would never know it as you all smile so much and therefore make others smile that may also be feeling the effects of last few uncertain months. Congratulations to you all for doing what you do in such tough times. I will be back. That's a certainty.

What a lovely find this was!
I was a little sceptical when booking - I'd spent the last 6 years in Kanoni and this was a complete change for me. But as soon as I arrived I felt comfortable & at home. The Potamaki is family-run and all the staff were so welcoming. Everyone from reception, the restaurant, the bars, the girls tidying the rooms & even maintenance were warm & friendly and made me feel part of their family. The hotel was spotless and a lot of effort had clearly been put in to making everyone safe in these difficult times. The rooms were clean & functional - I was in a sea view room which had stunning views of the sunrise every morning. The restaurant is buffet style with more than enough choice both at breakfast and dinner, and the team working in there where absolutely brilliant. I loved the bar area - outdoor with plenty of space and a good selection of drinks. Gerry, Victoria and George are really pleasant company and its a lovely place to relax in the evening (or the afternoon) with some really good & fun entertainment put on. The pool area is really nice and quiet, has a children's pool as well, and some lovely views of the surrounding mountains. And yes, it does get the sun all day although there are shaded areas as well! I didn't use the beach area, but the hotel has its own loungers there as well. If your lucky, Spiros will show you his garden area and crack a few jokes with you as well!! The surrounding village of Benitses is also pleasant and friendly with a variety of places to eat out and a really nice bakery. There's a sports bar for those wanting to watch the football, a good pizza restaurant, and a wide range of local or continental dining. There's also a couple of shops either side of the hotel where you can stock up on essentials. The bus into town stops outside the hotel as well which makes exploring the delights of Corfu Town very easy. It is not often I feel as comfortable in a place as I did at the Potamaki. Things were understandably a little quieter than they would be in normal times, but the hotel, and the staff, help us forget the troubles elsewhere, and did their utmost to help us relax and have fun. For this they must take enormous credit. I was booked for 3 weeks and extended my stay an extra week. I would have stayed longer if I was able. Not once did I hear another guest complain or grumble. I for one will definitely go back and I know friends I was with, and friends I met during my stay, have all said the same thing. Thank you to everyone at the hotel. You absolutely made my holiday!

Perfect Hotel-first time in Corfu
beautiful environment around Hotel Potamaki, friendly staff, advised when we needed something. Food excellent. We got a room with a large balcony overlooking the sea. Everywhere was clean, I'm glad we could be accommodated here. Greetings from Slovakia :)

best decision to stay here!
absolutely loved the hotel! fab location (being so close to the airport as well as Corfu Old Town). there is a bus stop directly opposite the hotel which takes you straight to the main town (1 or 2 euros each way) and from there you can take further buses to get around the island. the hotel itself was lovely - the staff are very professional; rooms very nice and spacious, cleaned every morning. would definitely recommend booking with a sea view. breakfast was good - Greek yoghurt and honey were amazing. everything was very clean - the staff wore masks and there were also shields etc. plus sanitizer at the entrance. entertainment was fun with Greek night once a week (bellydancer; traditional dancing etc.) and we were encouraged to join in. Benitses is a really cute place to stay if you are looking for somewhere a bit quieter but with enough to do. there is a little strip less a couple of mins walk away with lots of souvenir shops as well as a supermarket. the crepe place is incredible - nicest pancakes we've ever had. in the evening we chose from the restaurants (maybe 10 total) which are perfect if you are looking for authentic Greek cuisine. so happy we booked here - can't imagine staying anywhere else. the beach attached to the hotel is so nice and quiet and a really nice way to meet others staying at the hotel. the pool at the back is also lovely. would recommend to anyone looking for an affordable, comfortable, welcoming, and friendly place to stay in Corfu.

Holidays during Covid19 times
Beach Equipment = Sometimes very dis-organized Covid19 measures applying to the hotel & not to others on the very same beach... We eventually could enjoy the beach towards the end of our stay. All OK.
