Lived up to expectationChecked TripAdvisor for a nice place to eat in Portreath knowing Covid would mean having to book in advance. This came highly recommended so i sent an email which was quickly responded to. Food was delicious, quite fancy for a pub but very tasty and reasonably priced too. Service was excellent and the young lady who served us was very friendly and attentive as was the young guy who brought our meals who worked in the kitchen. We really liked the decor too with comfy leather sofas in the main bar and some nice pieces in the restaurant. Would recommend and definitely visit again.

What a gem !What a gem ! Great room and a super restaurant, with bubbly service and a great menu. I had to leave before breakfast, but I'm sure it would not have disappointed. ( and all at a very reasonable price)

Fantastic Hotel in a great locationLost count of the nights I have stayed in this lovely hotel. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean, well equipped and comfortable. The pub is friendly (and well catered for Covid restrictions). And the restaurant and food are very, very good. I cant recommend this Hotel enough

Great pub with lovely foodAfter a long walk we called in for a drink and had such a lovely lunch we ended up returning each day for lunch and 2 evening meals. Lite bite lunch menu is great value for money and fab food. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely food & beer in this cosy pubYou can eat in The Portreath Arms in their restaurant (where you can reserve), or their bar (where you cannot). We chose the bar, as it was dog friendly. We are glad we did, as it was medium sized with plenty of tables, but still really cosy. Turning up at 6.00 on a Friday, it was packed full of locals, giving the place a lively but still really friendly atmosphere. We did however find a table for four. The bar menu is more limited, but still has plenty on it. Our two boys, aged 13 and 11, and I all had burgers. They were simply superb. Other main choices included steak and fish and chips. My wife chose from the extensive small plates menu, which included local seafood. Again, they were all excellent. Great selection of local beers too. I had a pint of Hicks, the pub's darkest beer that evening, and it was superb. Staff were lovely too, being very friendly and professional at the same time.
