World Ducati Week at PortoverdeWe attended to World Ducati Week events at Misano World Circuit in July, 2016. We chose this property because of proximity to the track, the ability to book for less than one week, and the option of a two bedroom apartment. We were pleased with our choice and would definitely return. Our first impression was not the best to be honest. The exterior of the buildings give an appearance that some maintenance is in order. It looks simply like it needs a good coat of paint, and some TLC. However, once we found the reception area and checked in, all was fine. The check in was smooth and the front desk staff was friendly, spoke great English, and didn't laugh too much at my awful attempts to speak Italian! Cesare guided us to our room and gave us a complete tour and went through some dos and dont's, which included the fact that you have to be very careful what appliances you use simultaneously or you might blow an electric circuit. More on that later... The apartment was very spacious and had everything you need, including all kitchen utensils. Use of air conditioning, linens and towels were provided at an extra charge- which we knew in advance, but that might have been off putting had we not known. Also, excellent motorized shades to keep the suite dark and cool from hot Adriatic sun. There were two bedrooms, one with a king bed and ensuite bathroom with shower. The second bedroom was significantly smaller with a single bed, but it had a trundle pullout to sleep more than one. This room had a a bath on the hallway, and only had sink and toilet so needed to share the shower. That was a bit awkward, but not really bothersome. The small bath also had a clothes washer, which was handy. Unfortunately, you cannot use washer and air con at same time- a lesson I learned the hard way! (Oops) Fortunately, the resort has 24 hour maintenance service that arrived quickly and restored our electricity within minutes. They were super friendly and I'm sure had good laugh at the silly Americans. We had a fantastic patio with a wonderful view of the marina. This, combined with an onsite grocery and full kitchen made for some nice relaxing meals. The grocery store onsite was well stocked, and we thought prices were very reasonably considering it was on property. But we didn't want to cook every meal, so we also ate at one of the on property restaurants- Osteria Del Porto- at the suggestion of the front desk staff. It was lovely, and the staff could not have been more welcoming and friendly. (See my attached food pics). In addition to a the grocery and a few restaurants there are several cute shops with anything you could need really. We were provided bikes and locks that we were able to use both on and off property and there are nice bike paths to make for a nice ride. We did not spend much time at the beach, but we did spend a few hours there one day. The beach is privately managed, so you pay for your lounger and parasol based on what you want and the proximity to the water. In general this seems to be a good system, and the facility was well run and clean. The only disappointment was the water itself. It was not very clean the day we were there and had quite a bit of trash floating around. We had a great stay, and all mentioned above made up for any small things that could be improved. We would definitely return if we are fortunate to travel that way again. Incidentally, I recently received a happy birthday email- must have been on my registration on the website. Made my day to think back on our fantastic vacation. Thank you!

What a gemMy husband and I stayed at the Portoverde Apartments for the Moto GP, and wow what a wonderful surprise. Stunning scenery around the harbour, lots of choice of restaurants, pleasant pool, well stocked supermarket and spotlessly clean. The apartment was open plan and fully equipped, and very clean. We was provided with 2 courtesy bikes, which we used to cycle to the circuit. I would recommend the apartments to anyone.

Location and staff are outstandingBeing in a harbor, with a lot of nice bars, gelateria's, pasticceria's, pizzeria's and restaurants, close at sea and wot Cattolica and Ricccione close by too, the location is outstanding. The beach and sea are one of the best spots at the whole Adriatic coast as far as our experience goes. No mosquitos! The staff is very helpful and the bicycles make your stay the best possible. However, renting a 3 story villa we did not expect one of the four beds to be on the ground and, last but not least, the wifi was working very bad. All in all, we were VERY satisfied!

Basic accommodation - misleading professional photosA disappointing stay at the Portoverde Beach Apartments. The swimming pool is located alongside residential apartments where you are given access, although this is not where you will stay. Accommodation 400m-750m away on the other side of the marina and bears little resemblance to the professional interior photos of nicely furnished rooms. You are advised at check in not to operate the different appliances at the same time to avoid tripping the electric (e.g Aircon & washing machine). Pros - Very good check in service - Excellent marina views from the main balcony. - Excellent bars & restaurants around the marina. - Access to a good sized pool & plenty of beds. - Secure underground parking Cons - Located at the other side of the marina to the pool & beach. - Marina buildings are run down - Apartment backed onto railway line with loud overnight trains. - Very sparsely furnished. - Thin, uncomfortable, camp bed style mattresses on the beds. - 3* accommodation at best
