  Gente muy amable pero complejo obsoleto

  La atención y simpatía del personal fueron perfectos pero no puede ser que pases frío por haber solo un pequeño calefactor eléctrico para un apartamento de dos dormitorios, que los muebles sean totalmente anticuados, que los servicios como restaurante, tienda, etc estén todos cerrados y que haya media docena de personas trabajando en el mantenimiento y pintado del exterior de los apartamentos durante tu estancia

  Very poor accommodation

  The apartments in this resort are very sparse and uncomfortable. There was no water in the pool & hotel next door was closed. The only facilities were a cafe/restaurant and a small shop. A car is essential as miles from anywhere. Very disappointed. This should not be an RCI resort.

  Nice view!

  We were in unit #84 which is a two bedrooms. The view was great and the unit was European so some expectations need to be revised. The unit mattress' were vary hard so had back issues. We were disappointed with the cleanliness of the floors. Very dirty and needed to wear shoes which only added to the problem. We cleaned the floors and washed the bathroom tiles.

  Nearby beaches handy but accommodation sparse.

  Positives: 10 minute walk to a row of beautiful beaches. Cleaning and maintenance staff very kind and helpful. This resort (being part of the RCI) brought us to Sardinia. Patio very nice area to have meals and enjoy a bit of the seaview. Good set of dishes and cuttlefish. Negatives: Beds springy; very narrow single beds. Except for main bedroom, other 2 rooms feel like we are in a cottage with curtains for doors. Bathrooms old, loose valves. Gas stove old style - have to lit with a match every time; no toaster or oven, nor hot water kettle. Coffee maker manual type. Microwave rental for 10 euros a week which we did not bother; no screens on doors so flies/mosquitoes are a bit of a problem. Wooden doors very hard to slide open. Location far from towns except Cannigione. Hard to eat out at night if you dont want to drive the winding roads back. We came in October when the facilities in the resort have closed down. Outside ground needs maintenance- garbage in the fringe of parking lot. Walls paper thin. This place is at the bottom of our list in terms of RCI locations.

  Excellent Beach - Villas Need An Overhaul

  Portolaconia is a largeish resort, set back from the main road to Palou, so is quiet. The beach/sea is large and lovely, and in September very quiet, and just a few minutes walk away. There is a good supermarket below the resort. You need a car to reach the local restaurants and shops. The villas comprise one double bedroom, one two bed bunk bed room and a pull out bed in the lounge, which wasn't what my adult daughter and I were expecting. The patio area outside is small, but very private.
