  A broom would help

  Stayed here recently. You get what you pay for, stairs to the apartment, good secure parking, compact unit. The bathroom tiles need cleaning, especially behind the door, i wonder how long the jogger print has been sitting there and grout needs some attention in the cleaning side. If you're there for more than one night be sure to bring toilet paper. The balcony was very sandy and gritty so a broom would have helped to sweep it, or clean it before a guest checks in. Location of the rubbish bins wasn't clear so we took our rubbish home and it was only when we were driving out that we noticed the skip up on the verge of the property. I'm guessing that this was our bin. Another thing that really gets up my nose is, they have your credit card details and in the guest information book clearly states "you must leave your apartment clean and tidy or you will be charged for cleaning". I guess thats how that foot print was left behind the bathroom door. I assume that after you leave, they give the apartment a sweeping glance and say "sweet" chamber maid isn't need here except to change bed and towels. Location was perfect, walk to almost everything necessary.

  Location, Location, Location

  We spent two weeks here this month (October) in one one bedroom apartment and one two bedroom apartment. Hosts were great and very attentive. Apartments were both clean and tidy and well equipped. Excellent security on site and underground car park is also secure (and free!). Great pool area including jacuzzi and gas bbq. Games room for kids on site. Amazing location. Just a block and a half to the main beach. 750 metres walk to new surf club which does great meals. Right across the road from Pacific Fair for amazing shopping. A convenience store and liquor shop is in the next block and open long hours for the essentials. Did I say amazing location? The beds were fine and plenty of pillows, blankets, towels etc. A great place for family and nice and peaceful - away from the hustle of Cavill Avenue.

  Location.

  Well located units. Short walk to beach. Opposite Broadbeach South transport hub (trams and buses) Also opposite Pacific Fair Shopping Centre (huge). Close to Broadbeach Mall which has numerous quality restaurants(with cheap breakfasts etc) and another shopping mall(Woolworths). Casino and Dracula's Caberet are within walking distance. Units are well appointed and property has Pool, Spa, BBQ, games room. Good security and quiet, peaceful gardens. Good value. There are stairs to apartments but units are excellent with rear entry from property to walk to beach and Mall.

  A Super Location

  On the Gold Coast for Supanova, we needed reasonably priced accommodation close to shops and the convention centre, and found it in Portobello Resort Apartments. They were within walking distance of Pacific Fair, the convention centre, tram stations and the beach, so our car never left the secure underground parking once we arrived. Our single bedroom apartment was very cute, with bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, lounge and laundry all fitting into a compact but uncrowded and comfortable space. There is also a heated pool and spa. The apartments are on the Gold Coast highway but very quiet, and very secure too. The price we paid for 2 nights at the start of the school holiday period was very reasonable, especially compared to surrounding resorts, and excellent value.

  Weekend with the geandkids

  We stayed here for the first time for the long weekend in January. We stayed in one of the apartments they call a penthouse. It was a two level apartment situated on the top floor. The apartment was spacious and very clean and had been updated fairly recently updated. Two balconies provided views to the pool, city and hinterland, with the top balcony being very large with corner spa. The kitchen lacked a little and would have been great to have had some plastic plates and cups for children. The pool and spa area was lovely, they are currently upgrading games area but overall perfect for families. Parking was free undercover. These apartments are situated in a super spot right across from Pacific Fair shopping Centre and the tram, plus a short stroll to the beach. My only negative was no lift...with all our bags a.nd groceries it was a huge haul up four flights of stairs. New managers......were lovely, hope they do very well.
