  Good Motel

  We stayed here overnight,the room and staff where very good. We had been riding motorbikes all day in the rain. And the motel let us use their clothes dryer to dry all our wet gear. I would definately stay here again.

  Sewerage Smell

  We were assigned room number 7 We Walked in to a clean enough Motel Room walked into the bathroom flushed the toilet and ran the tap, we were met with the most disgusting gut churning smell of raw sewerage for the rest of our stay, even with the bathroom door closed we could still smell it, we had to plug the sink, close the toilet lid and place towels of the drain openings, there is nothing worse than having a poor nights sleep when you are doing such a long drive, we were both sick from the smell in the bathroom and couldn't even have a shower to freshen up before the next leg of our journey, we actually opted to pack up as quickly as possible and find the nearest servo for a toilet and a coffee, very unhygienic for our newborn.

  Clean & Functional

  Fantastic for a one night stay mid road trip. Easy to check in & check out; room was clean with modern amenities; bed was comfortable; no weird smells; easy to find & lots of food places nearby. Would definitely stay again.

  Small but clean and well renovated

  If you are after somewhere just to lay your head this place is perfect. Newly renovated, updated furniture. Very clean room. Unfortunately there were other guests leaving very early in the morning who were very loud, which is outside of the motel's control. Would return again.

  Clean but bathroom not as pictured

  We stayed at the Port Macquarie Hotel for four nights mid January. We wanted a clean, comfortable, modern and reasonably priced room as we were on an unexpected 14 day quarantine trip before we could cross the border into Qld. We chose this motel based on reviews and photos on line. Photos showed modern, clean bathrooms , two bedsides and attractively dressed beds. Our room had unrenovated bathrooms which bore no resemblance to the photos on line. No where is it mentioned that only some rooms are renovated. In fact website indicates all rooms have been updated. We emailed and rang owner to be moved for our remaining nights as we felt we had not received what was advertised. It was misleading. We did not get an answer and had to keep asking the receptionist/cleaner who didnt make the decisions. We were finally moved for one night and we understand it was a busy time of year. We were told we couldnt be moved because hotel was full but there were many one night stayers and booking sites still had a vacancy in our room type. The bed was comfortable with attractive, clean linens, basic kitchenette but we knew that and the room was clean. Dinner sized plates would be a good inclusion. Just be aware that not all bathrooms have been upgraded.
