  went to popi studios 18th may for three weeks very good all round holiday maid very good came around 10 30 which was brilliant she does speak english gave us some fresh bread and olive oil on last day

  Not what we were promised

  Arriving at the studios after midnight there was no one there to help us find our room ! Seeking help from the restaurant above we were advised that this happens all the time , owner of the restaurant advised us to try all the room doors until we found one unoccupied and ready to take someone! ! . Shocked at this but facing a night outside in the small courtyard we had little choice . Lucky for us and other residents the first room we tried was indeed vacant and ready for use ! We locked tge door and went to bed . The following morning we finally located the owner , who more or less said it was our fault for arriving late , he then proceeded to charge us 50 for the use of the air conditioning for the next 5 days ! Not a great start to our holiday and did not feel safe staying there. We were informed that this was a quiet location, however the restaurant above the studio played loud music every night until 2.30am . We can however sing all the words to ABBA'S Greatest Hits haha . We will not be returning and would not recommend staying at Popi Studios in Lindos Rhodes !!

  Disappointed

  We knew the accommodation would be basic however it was worse than we anticipated. We had read reviews and were happy to book and on the positive side the location was excellent,just a couple of minutes walk to the beach and to the town. We had studio 3 which had 1 window that opened onto the side-street so we couldn't have it open much as people could see in (to the bed!) there were lots of spider webs/dust around the fridge,air conditioning unit and also by the bed and the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. In the bathroom there was a big hole in the ceiling going???? Luckily we had taken some antibacterial wipes so we're able to clean round. Despite all this we did simply used the studio for sleeping and taking a shower so for that it met our needs. Maybe the other studios are better. There is a small area where you could sit and have a drink/read a book outside but this is gated so no view. We enjoyed our stay in Lindos and will return but will not be staying at Popi Studios.

  A basic base

  We stayed at Popi studios for a week in September 2017. Location is best feature for these studios, very close to village and moderate walk down to beach (walk back up hill after day on beach can be hard work). Studio very basic, as we've found all Greek self-catering. Good: Hairdryer. Safe in room, manual key operation. Air conditioning, though we didn't use - costs 50 euros for the week, I think Rooms have Wi-Fi - good connectivity even if you do have to sign back in regularly. We were fortunate to be able to keep our room until 8pm on check-out day (late flight); this cost 20 euros, payable to owner but we felt it was worth it. We both slept very well (adjacent restaurant does play music, not that loud but this did not hinder our sleep. Not so good: Our towels and bedclothes were not changed at all during the week we stayed - maybe we were just forgotten? Cleanliness did leave a lot to be desired. You will need to take washing up liquid and dishcloths to wash up ..... and also take a toilet roll - one was provided on arrival but after that's gone you have to get your own Other: We did not use kitchen cooking facilities so cannot comment. Our kettle boiled really quickly. Bath is a small sit-down bath with shower over, showering needed to be skillfully done to avoid falling, water flow was adequate, though much went on tiled floor. There is a communal courtyard with a couple of tables and some chairs.

  Basic but cheap and perfectly located

  I stayed in a Popi Studio (no. 7) for a week. This basic studio is perfectly located - walking distance to all attractions of Lindos Village. I couldn't be more happy with the combination of price and location. Lindos village is quite expensive. The price I paid for Popi was a bargain! Studio itself is spacious - my bedroom was located upstairs and it was large, with big wardrobe, mirror and an air conditioner (paid separately). There was only one, little window there. Kitchenette and the bathroom were located downstairs. The kitchen equipment was in very bad condition - electric kettle didn't switch off so couldn't be left unattended, and an electric cooker created to low temperature so unfortunately in this studio you can't cook. You have to buy your own washing up liquid and cloths if you want to wash the dishes. The bathroom was again basic. There's a small bathtub, where you can only take shower, but the lack of a shower curtain caused the flood on the floor. No mop or any other equipment to wipe it. It was a bit annoying. The good thing there was a hair dryer. The towels and sheets were changed once per week, which I found absolutely fine. The cleaner lady comes everyday but don't expect to much. The studio has no balcony. The advert pictures with terrace are very misleading. It's more like a share corridor, surrounded by walls without any view. You can't really enjoy your meal or drink there. It's not a sea-view (or any other view) balcony.
