  Good hotel

  Even if a bit expensive the price was ok for the region. Localisation is ok, great if you plan to drive to Cologne or Bonn, but otherwise in the middle of nowhere. Room was large and comfy, bathroom was good.

  Can't wait to go back.

  We arrived quite late, but the staff kept the parking lot open for a longer period so we could still park there. Breakfast was just great, a lot of choice and available from about 6 in the morning. We didn't had dinner, but a couple of other guests did and it looked nice. When we where grabbing some drinks at the bar, the waiter did serve is in outstanding way. An extra advantage is, although it is near the highway (3min drive), you don't hear any traffic.

  Cerca a Colonia y Phantasialand

  El hotel estuvo perfecto para los objetivos del viaje. Cerca al parque de diversiones Phantasialand y a la ciudad de Colonia y Bonn. La habitación sencilla y hasta podría decirse antigua, sin embargo se descansa muy bien. El desayuno bastante surtido y completo, parte del personal habla español así que nos sentímos bastante bien. Cuentan con parking propio.

  Old, uncomfortable and expensive

  We stayed at Pontivy hotel for 4 nights for our business trip. In general it was not a pleasant stay. Hotel has very poor sound insulation, you can hear how chairs are moving in the restaurant downstairs. And I am not talking about days when locals are watching football there - you will hear their yelling very well. Wifi was very slow, and most of the time I couldn't even connect to it, neither with my phone or tablet. So you can't do your work or watch youtube videos in this hotel. Welcome to the Middle Ages. TV has mostly German channels, and you have to be very patient to find English one, that will be three hundred something channel for BBC. There are no thee and coffee appliances in the room, although these would be actually nice to have as you are sitting there with 1 TV channel and without wifi. I had a very small room with a very small bed. I guess I had bed of this size when I was 10 years old. Bed was also squeaking with every move. However, restaurant downstairs was fine, just don't order salads. For next business trip we booked 4 stars hotel in the neighborhood town, 15 EUR cheaper per night.

  Going above and beyond in the Covid Crisis

  We travelled for business as we had a project to complete at the Shell oil refinery near by. The hotel is traditional whilst being fully functional and had everything we needed. The internet is wifi and is free. I used their free internet to work from the room and to watch tv on my laptop and it never failed or buffered once. The bathrooms were clean and the shower was superb - a great refreshing powerfulwarm shower. Their is tv in the room but of course its mostly in German except one english bbc news channel so I just used the free internet to watch my own device. The parking is off road and free. Breakfast was handled in a totally profesional manner in these times of covid, it can`t be easy for the staff to have to deal with these restrictions. Nearby you have restaurants, supermarkets and takeaways . Its close to travel links with a bustop and the autobahn very close by. If I revisit the area I would definitely stay here again. Check in after hours was a very simple process with all instructions being shared with us once we informed them of our arrival times. Just what we needed to enable us to get on with our project and concentrate on the task without having to worry about the hotel at all. If you need anything just ask the staff and they were able to help always. All requests were carried out in our own language of english with no issues. In short thankyou for your help. PS don`t believe some of the reviews they must be either out of date or written by simpletons.
