  Affordable Beacfront Villa

  Stayed in Pondok Pisang on 26 June for 3 days 2 nights. Booked beachfront family 2 bedrooms villa. Here is my review. The Good things: 1/ location is right on the sea. It's quiet place good for relax. At late afternoon the sea level is lower so can go down play at the beach but not sandy beach. 2/ Affordable price compare to other villa near by. It's spacious room and simple. You can wash your own clothes and hang on drier bamboo rack in the yard that they provided so you don't need go to laundry services. 3/ The food is nice taste, home style cooking, price about IDR 20K - 80K. 4/ The staffs is quite attentive but they kinda bit shy. 5/ The bathroom is clean. Towel is clean. WIFI is good enough. Bed is okay. Now the not so good things: 1/ Location is deep in the garden far from main road, not easy to find so best is hire driver from candidasa area that you can find in TripAdvisor. It's about 2,5 hours from airport. Since it's far from road so the best buy everything you need before entering villa. 2/ it's affordable so it's basic facilities, don't expect 5 star villa facilities and since is basic so bring your own toothbrush. No TV, No tea coffee making facilities, No safe deposit box. Only 1 old wardrobe that quite dusty. 4/ Electricity power in room is weak. I tried to switch on a kettle that I brought but suddenly the electricity OFF. The lights in room and outside not so bright probably due to low power. But they have enough power plug to charge your laptop or phone. They gave hot water in termosk instead. Overall it was a good stay. Beautiful basic rustic villa with enough greenery and awesome seaview.

  Flametree Yoga Retreat

  A fabulous boutique style Balinese accomodation. Right on the sea, away from the busy streets. Individual style rooms with comfortable beds and amazing art work throughout. The staff and management make you feel welcome and part of the family. The food is healthy fresh and flavoursome. Highly recommend.

  The worst accommodation experience as long as I can remember!

  The owner is very rude and unfriendly. We stayed for a week on this trip, and during one evening, my friends and I decided to use the property's only well lit area, the dinning room to have a brief meeting (when no other guests were there, and we did not bring any outside food). The owner (whom sat at the next table the entire time, very creepy) said to us after our meeting that we are not allowed to used the dinning area if we are not 'consuming' anything from the menu, and also criticised me for bringing water into her hotel, she said: "I sell water here, and it's disrespectful to the hotel for guests to buy from anywhere else but from her". This is the worst accommodation experience I have had in 30 years of business traveling, her attitude was disrespectful in every way, and my friends, family and I will not return to any of her properties.

  Un hotel amigable frente al mar para nosotros

  Creo que la ubicación si no tienes scooter puede ser un poco complicada. Me gustó mucho el estilo vintage que tenía (a veces resultaba en los cuartos un poco tétrico pero no estaba mal), me gustó la playa y las terrazas para relajarte viendo el mar. El restaurante es muy bueno y la gente que atiende el hotel es muy servicial y amable. Es un muy buen lugar para quedarse si quieres relajarte.

  Gorgeous peaceful place

  We stayed in the two bedroom beachfront bungalow and it was gorgeous. It has two bedrooms and sleeps 5, with an upstairs bedroom retreat set in a pitched roof, with a window looking over the sea. The furniture is lovely and the linen is all cotton and hand dyed in the batik tradition. There are comfy sun lounges looking over the sea, steps down to the beach and each place is private and surrounded by gardens. Good hot water and the bungalow is decorated beautifully and simply. We absolutely loved it, and the breakfast was tasty and fresh. Definitely coming back
