  Very enjoyable stay

  We were expecting to enjoy our 4 day stay at this hotel - based on the claims on the hotel website and other reviews - and were not disappointed. Firstly, the welcome and overall friendliness of the owners and staff immediately confirmed that we were in the hands of a well coordinated and professional team. The hotel and rooms were spotlessly clean and well maintained. Breakfast was excellent, with a comprehensive buffet of local specialities, and cooked items prepared to order. We had not intended to have half-board (preferring the option to dine around the area), but in fact we found it far better to enjoy the excellent dinner provided each evening. Overall, an excellent stay and would recommend to others without exception.

  A very relaxing hotel

  A beautiful, luxurious feeling hotel in a pleasant area of Merano just a short walk to the old town. Superb restaurant for dinner and breakfast, lovely setting by the pool. The indoor pool, gym and fitness facilities are also excellent. The small staff team are very patient, very helpful and made our stay very enjoyable.

  A most enjoyable stay

  A most enjoyable family holiday at Hotel Pollinger. The rooms were spacious and immaculate as were all parts of the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times. The breakfast provided was excellent and if wanting to dine in for the evening meal the set menu was generous in portion and reasonably priced. Both the indoor heated and the outside pools like the other parts of the hotel were immaculate. There is ample parking. The hotel appears to be very popular with German speaking guests but the staff have a strong knowledge of several languages including English. Although not a short walk from the city the hotel is strongly recommended.

  Great food and service -highly recommended

  I met friends from Germany here and knew nothing about the area, which is really delightful incredible alpine walks and nice village - this place is a little out from village but is a gem. It has fantastic indoor and outdoor pool, fab sauna and steam room - they are very friendly and helpful and it is more like a boutique hotel than a generic big hotel, the breakfast is good but the stand out is the set evening meal at 23 euros - it was such an adventure having all the different courses of local produce and everything so perfectly cooked and presented - I dont know how they do it so well - the rooms are clean and modern and its so relaxed and quiet around the area it is a great base for checking out this fascinating area - you would go back without hesitation - I would highly recommend

  Only disadvantage - a bit far from the city center (30 min walk), so quite tough to do more than one daily back and forth. All the rest- Superb! Indoor and outdoor pools, amazing mountains view from the rooms balcony (make sure you get a room with the right landscape). Common areas are well furnished and properly kept. Very nice atmosphere in the evenings with inviting bar and couches. And the BEST part - wonderful 5 course dinner! (available as extra). Worth every penny...
