staff nice some rooms 1970sour room on 6th floor was ok but when we asked if they had a room with an extra child bed we were shown a 1970s room. two very nice young ladies on reception and helpful other one not so caring. When we got soaked in a down pour the cleaners stepped in and washed our clothes and were very helpful the whole time. building works also not the best way to wake up in the morning. In a good place and the cycle rental across the street although looks well dodgy the guy give good advice on trips and places to see. in the same room again i would stay but not in the 1970s rooms.just my opinion though.

Avoid!Avoid this place if only possible. My wife and I actually stayed in the nearby hotel, not this one, but as they allegedly have got spa facilities we decided to treat ourselves to a massage and some saunas. Even when we tried to make the booking, the staff attitude was disappointing - not interested, no smile, unwilling to explain anything. We finally made a reservation for the following day. On the day, instead of enjoying the beach we spent the whole morning waiting for the massage, which was supposed to take place at around noon. When we got to the hotel we made necessary payments and subsequently we were told that the lady responsible for the massage was not at work and the massage would not take place. It got better. It turned out that to get our money back we would need to speak to their finance director, who was not at work at that time, so we had to return later on. When we did return the director met us and unwillingly gave us the money back. When I asked him how he would compensate us for the day we lost because of the lack of communication (someone could have called us to say the massage had been cancelled), he said the situation was our fault as another masseur was at work, so we should not have left the premises. He did not accept the fact that we had been asked to leave and he said they owe us nothing and in fact he should not have given the money back to us. No apology would be offered. I then requested that I speak to the owner and instead I was put in touch with someone who called them President. He was not that interested, but said he would call me back after he has made some enquiries. Over one week later, nobody has spoken to us. I have found the whole experience truly disgusting.

Outrageous rude staff :-(The Polaris has a fancy entrance with roman style pool behind glass wall, locally connected to reception. BUT, here the positive impressions ends! Reception staff, cleaners, breakfast personnel are the most out-bored, rude hotel staff I've ever meet. Breakfast is below average, coffee is horrible - in all very basic 1 star. Never mind the rooms: with this sad treatment of guests, your good mood gets a slap in the face too many times. Never more Polaris!

Very bad and rude serviseI booked and payed 5 nights at Hotel Polaris 1 in November 2019 - but checked out after 4 nights. The hotel has a big problem regarding good service. All the staff at this hotel are so rude and unfriendly. I met 5 different receptionists and only the lady who checked me in was kind even though she forgot to give me important information about my stay. The pool lady and pool man and the people working in the restanrant - nobody was kind or friendly. I traveled alone and every time I asked the staff a polite question in english or in German (I know my German is not very good) I was yelled at in Polish or German. All the staff look so tired and angry. Nobody says "hallo" or "goodmorning". Nobody is smiling. My room was very small but ok for the price. The hotel offers spa treatments but the treatments were fully booked for 4 days while I was at the hotel. All the treatments are very expensive. Almost the same price as in Denmark e.g 150 polish zloty for 1 hour massage (35 Euro). The food in the restaurant is very boring and servered with no passion at all. The cleaning was very inadequate. E.g my toilet bucket was not emptied for 4 days and the 3rd day the cleaning did not show up. I was very happy to check out of this hotel. I did not feel welcome at all.
