SLEEP IN YOUR CARThis hotel was one of the nastiest, dirtiest and smelliest hotels ever. So many issues, I dont know where to start. The pictures on the booking sites are all misleading. The hotel is rundown, outdated and nasty. The property grounds almost make it look abandoned. The rooms on the outside were just horrendous. We noticed several rooms with ajar doors and no one inside, yet they looked like storage rooms. There were boxsprings stacked next to a dumpster, which immediately made me think of bed bugs. Upon checking in first thing I notice is the NO REFUNDS SIGN. While waiting to check in there were 2 different people complaining of the property and demanding a refund. After declining the first room they gave us, we received a room inside the building. There seemed to be no ac or ventilation in the Hallway. There was an old pungent odor that smelled like smoke, mold and wet carpet. The numbers on the room door were missing and a piece of paper with the written room number was taped to the door. The AC in the room was on high but was not cold. The room smelled so bad I ended up lighting scented candles and buying some pinesol to reclean the stained tub, toilet and sink. The shower curtain is thin, stained and has no lining. The water was lukewarm at best. The bed are so hard it feels like your sleeping on the floor. The carpet was dirty and stained. There was a huge cockroach that crawled out of the coffee maker. There was no breakfast, the restaurant was closed. To say the pictures Do the property no justice is an understatement. The pictures are very misleading and doesnt capture the sheer filth of this property. I was in town for a funeral, and had no time to get another property. I tried to stay out as long as I could bc the room was so hot. I shouldve slept in my car.

Need to see before bookingWe got in really late from traveling and kids were worn out but given more time we would have changed hotels. We needed a room for 6 and only one person had a master key to it. There was no cable so they showed us another room which had one king size bed and a pull out couch but the hallway thermostat was broke and it was super hot. We were in the towers which is supposed to be more upscale than the other rooms. There were only some rooms with numbers on the doors and some doors had missing or loose door handles. We were exhausted so settled on a suite, not in the tower section. There were 2 queen beds and a pull out couch which had stains on the mattress. They hadnt done a lot of laundry but found us sheets for the pullout and the only towels available were hand towels. The stove burner pans were so caked with grime, there are no working smoke detectors in the room. They are not even in the room. The door on the one side had no deadbolt so we put a table in front of it. There are drawer fronts missing. This may have been asclose to renovation as we could get. The room in the tower had wires hanging out of the wall with no finished outlet to plug in the air conditioner. The workers were very pleasant and tried really hard to be accompanying but the rooms were not up to code and the ones we saw do not look like the website ones. Again my advice. if you really want to stay here check out the potential room before depositing cash. I dont know there return policy but if you cant get a refund you may not be happy and dont get in late like we did.

Point Plaza Suites & Conference Center I would not let my died dog stay here !!!!!!This hotel is the worse hotel I have been too. Please, please, please do not go by the pictures! This place stank, it's dirty it is one of the nastiest place I have been to. The owner is no help all he is thinking about taking people money and not considering how horrible the place is and he knows no one want to put their family in one of them rooms. He has the nerve to have a NO REFUND policy up, plz he should shut that place down. I rather sleep in my car before sleeping in one of these rooms. I was beyond disappointed about the room. Not only was the room one of the worst but the owners kids were running around the lobby I wouldn't even have my kids in that place ugh. The property grounds almost make it look abandoned. While trying to get another room booked there were other people complaining and some just took their lost and left, that's how bad it is.

Worse than a slum in a 3rd world country or migrant camp. The POINT PLAZA SUITES AT CITY CENTER - NEWPORT NEWS Is absoutely the filthiest, unsanitary, unhealthful skid row, flophouse I have ever seen and Ive seen some pretty bad joints in ghettos and in Asia. Usually rooms such as there are the kind rented out by partial hour segments. This place is an entomologists dream with filthy disgusting bugs everywhere. Tons of mold, dirt, stains of unknown origin and the air inside the rooms are redolent of nauseous, noxious odors scented. A run down Motel 6 would be considered a virtual luxury palace in comparison. Make sure your shots are up to date and god only knows what the coffee maker has been used for. No complementary coffee anyway. The offer of a free breakfast is a blatant lie as the sleazy attached restaurant is closed, not in operation. Not worth the measly $47.00 or even $5.00 a night. I dont think this hole tell would be allowed to operate in a Pakistan or even in a migrant camp in Tijuana Mexico. A one (1) rating is 10 stars too many.
