Great LocationI stayed in one of the ground floor rooms in the motel section. The owner was very accommodating in providing the requested room. Nice to have the very generous breakfast set up in the adjoining room. Bed was comfortable. However, noise travels from the rooms above, I could hear every footstep, noise and conversation of the people in the room above mine. This did spoil my opinion of the Hotel, perhaps the rooms in the guesthouse would have been a better option.

Second visit, first visit with new ownerHaving been to the guest house previously it was nice to see the guest house had some renovations..our room was the terminus room the room was clean and fresh the bed was super comfy ..bathroom was across the hall it was small but functional it wasn't a shared bathroom so was for our own private use,we were directly above the dining room so while there were diners it was a bit noisy at times..richard was very accommodating especially when we decided to stay an extra night ..contactless check in was super easy and communication was excellent..in all our first outing and short stay away since covid was a welcome experience..will definitely visit again

The restaurant is a hidden gemThe restaurant is open Wednesday to Saturday nights from 6pm and has some very well sourced, prepared and served dishes. Chef Michael Flouch has a great pedigree for delivering classic food at his earlier restaurants in Mount Martha, Mount Eliza and Armadale and in country Kyneton (a location he shared with Annie Smithers). Michael is an eighth generation chef, well known for his amazing duck dishes (among others), and this night he delivered a 10 out of 10 roasted 1/2 duck. The seafood dishes hit the mark and service from Kat was impeccable. Hotel guests have access to a small bur well curated wine list, and those coming for dinner can byo. Look at his Facebook page and hope he does another duck and Pinot night and a Bellarine seafood night. A gem of a place and we will return.

Delicious meal with great service. The menu while small is a delight with Asian influence meals. When we were there my sister had the duck and found it cooked to perfection. The staff are very attentive and the atmosphere very welcoming.

under whelming......For $168 for the night, we expected more. The stairway up to the first level was very narrow and steep, too bad for the elderly or infirm. The room was so small. There was an unmarked step in between the bedroom and bathroom toilet area that we continually tripped on. No small table in the room and the only place to sit was in the bed. The opening into the shower was half the size of a normal door way. Would not recommend it at all.
