  Second time around a disappointment

  We had booked a one bedroom apartment and were very disappointed to find we were downgraded to a studio - when we arrived. Not only that, but the girl on the desk did not want to give us any sort of refund - we did eventually get one though when I insisted. I had stayed here before 6 months ago in a studio on my own and liked it - this is why we chose to stay this time. However, my studio 6 months ago was much nicer, This one had bits off the furnitue, stains on the carpet - all very disappointing. We stayed 3 nights and the apartment was not serviced once. There was no dishcloth / sponge in the kitchen and not enough powder for the dishwasher. It was very hard washing up after ourselves or cleaning surfaces. One of the door cards didn't work - one was pushed under the door on our second day there. So what was good - the little dishwasher was good and there was a washing machine. The bathroom was okay and so was the kitchen - although with no cleaning cloth or dish brush this was a big minus. We won't be staying here a third time

  Would recommend short stay only

  Mixed thoughts on this property. Staff at check in was friendly and well mannered. The room itself appeared grubby. The walls and ceilings could do with a good coat of paint. The tiles in kitchen and bathroom are dated and tired looking. The mirror behind the entry door and glass coffee table were dirty, obviously forgotten to be cleaned by the cleaner. Bed was comfortable shower was ok, air conditioner was small and only really serviced the loungeroom where located. So bedroom air flow is stuffy. To the staff member at the counter at checkout (who was the complete opposite to the staff member at check in) when i asked about my getting bond back who grunted, when the cleaner gives the ok you get it back. Well if thats the case, because i had to clean the mirror and coffee table. i think i can charge you a cleaning fee of 20 bucks. So i will have my bond and a extra $20 Thanks. Keeping in mind the price for a night $119 my recommendation is this property is best suited for very shorts stay 1 night where you just need somewhere to sleep and go

  Grotty Central

  This place was one of the grottiest places I have stayed in a long while. Given, it is a budget accommodation, however when my partner had to source cleaning products to wipe over mirrors and coffee tables because they were splattered with grime, I think theres a problem. The back of the toilet door and walls were splattered with grot...I wasnt sure what was safe to touch. Fortunately we were only there for the night so if cleanliness is essential to you, I wouldnt recommend this place.

  Terrible

  Seemed OK on arrival staff nice on reception kitchen crockery not clean, fridge leaked, TV hazy and the air conditioner fan couldn't be silenced opened window but got more noise from other a it con units outside luckily only one night don't stay here

  Not good

  Room was clean, shower good but tv didnt work properly, noise from building site next door was horrendous, started at 7.00am and went all day, we had to raise our voices to Hear each other. We paid for parking and were quite dismayed to see on our first morning there that our car was covered in dirt because the underground car park had been pressure washed. Talked to reception who to,d me to email the bookings person, did so, described the problems and asked for a discount. The reply was that everywhere in Melbourne was suffering building noise but they would give me a ten dollar a night discount, the other issues were not mentioned.
