Convenient, clean and comfortableLocated away from the bustle of Pai, but still only a short walk to town. This is the third time I have stayed at Plernpai as the owner, Aom, is very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The rooms are clean and comfortable. You must try the "Bom Bowls" which are quite unique.

Awful experience - AVOID!Arrived at Plernpai and told the girl who was there my name - she stared at me blankly like I was from outerspace - no welcome, did not even asked me what my name was went off come back after being on the phone for 5 minutes leaving me standing there like a lemon. I asked whether she could put my passport in the safe - she didn't understand. I just kept it with me as gave up trying. (I'm a woman travelling on my own). First room she put me in - paint peeling from the floor, now where to hang clothes stains on the wall horrible bathroom. Noisy. 2 roads either side. Not private - big open glass windows onto the road. The door didn't work at the first room she put me in she moved me to another room - equally as horrible. Told her that I wasn't happy and was leaving. She or anyone else did not speak one word of English. She had to ring up the manager and put her on the phone (who was in Chiang Man) to say that the girl didn't speak English. I don't expect everyone to speak English but at least hello and what is your name just as a very basic and to show me where everything was (she didn't tell me if they had a restaurant or a bar of where anything was). After the girl put The Manager on the phone asked me what was wrong and I explained but she did not offer a refund. I then complained to Agoda as this is clearly misrepresented on their website as a 'Boutique Hotel'. I paid 1,000 but a night! Their photos are an absolute joke on there. Also avoid ACODA as they don't even check the hotels they are dealing with. Also they took 5 nights of my money up front and I didn't stay one night at that hotel? Can that be fare at least offer at least part of a refund or a compromise. A bunch of crooks. I will continue to seek compensation from ACODA as they will not offer me a refund.

Amazing mattress and bed linenThe best bit about this accommodation is the soft mattress, bed linen and pillows - the best in Thailand to date. The room, only one of three, was bright and clean with a hot shower. Not a massive issue, and may be just during my stay when it was quiet, but there was no cleaning service during my four night stay (remove used toilet paper, replace drinking water, etc.). The road the hotel is located on is relatively quiet, not like the local cockerels though so bring earplugs if you want a lie-in!

Amazing pleace with delicious vegan breakfast !I stayed here for three nights and it was so good! The girl who runs the hotel, Hannah, is very welcoming and gave us lots of info about what to do and always answered our questions with a smile. I loved the smoothie bowls and although I never had the waffles they looked delicious!! The location is nice as it is out of the centre so very peaceful but the walk into town is short and pleasant. Will definitely return if I am lucky to visit Pai in the future.

It's OK. But there are better options in Pai.The guesthouse is smallish, I think 3-4 rooms, the focus of the place seems to be on the Yoga (2 sessions a day) and running the little cafe, which makes nice vegetarian food, and 'bowls'. The rooms were ok, nothing memorable. But as far as comfort goes there is a little bit of noise from the road, and a fair few roosters. Though, lets face it, this is everywhere in Thailand! Fair way from town, and the taxis in Pai are a rort. So recommend a bike or scooter if you want to stay here
