  Plaza hotel was a weird experience; 1. I've been to athens with 2 of my friends, we arrived at athens on its only direct flight from cairo at 5am. Certainly we headed directly to the hotel as we had luggages not knowing where to keep. The receptionist was very unwelcoming us at this early time (6:30am) mentioning that we didn't ask for an immediate room accommodation, in addition to sending an email 48 hrs before our arrival informing them with our early flight. We just needed a safe place to leave our luggage and wait for daylight to be able to go anywhere till 12pm when we can be accommodated! 2. The triple room is very small, having a third non-comfortable bed at all 3. Receptionist is unaware of touristic locations and cannot guide with recommendations about where to go or transportation means 4. The room is so noisy, been on a sort of high-way street makes it noisy all night 5. Breakfast is so poor, only 1 kind of cheese and cold bread, but hot toast also was provided 6. Hotel is far away from center of city where all places you need to visit 7. We asked for a taxi to be booked for our departure to the PORT to take a ship from there, one of my friends asked the blond receptionist to book that taxi and WROTE for her all details (location, date, time) when the taxi arrived we found out that the taxi driver was told that we were going to the airport instead! People there are totally unfriendly and unprofessional also, basics of greetings guests and helping them with info about touristic places is very missed. I totally don't recommend, you can book another good hotel with same cost and more friendly and knowledgeable.

  Great hotel with great staff!

  The staff is great, Steven, the owner is very friendly and speak perfect English. Rooms are very comfortable and very clean. Refrigerator and complimentary tea and coffee makers. It offers air-conditioned rooms with free very good WIFI and LCD satellite TV. The location of the hotel is excellent within a 2-minute walk from the beach. The hotel is located near Glyfada shopping and restaurant area and is right next to the tram station, tram nbr 5 goes to Athens center (fare EUR 1.40:-) The airport bus X96 bus stop "Plaz Voulas" is just outside the hotel (fare EUR 6:-) It is next to a busy road but most hotels are and it is manageable. Free parking as well.

  Budget hotel for a short term stay

  Booked this hotel for 2 nights initially, as needed a non-smoking hotel with car parking in Glyfada, and ended up staying for a week. While it is ok for 2 nights, week stay was not the most comfortable. Can't beat the location though - right in front of the lovely beach with bar and restaurant and not far from Glyfada center full of restaurants and nice food places. Lovely staff in a hotel, willing to do anything we asked compensated for those small "uncomfortabilities"....

  Highly overpriced, try to avoid, especially if with family

  We are a family with 2 kids, spent one night there before going back to the airport. We were very surprised this place got reasonable reviews. Very badly located on the very noisy highway ("luckily", we were at a back room, facing nowhere but not noisy), no elevator, and the place just looks sleazy and not making one feel too comfortable. The toilet water did not work properly, they were aware of this but did nothing. Paying 110 EU for a room of 4 in such a place is highly overpriced. Surely, there must be better places nearby, also more towards the Glyfada main area.

  Average...

  This hotel is not bed. It is located in front of bus station, so it is easy to access city of Athens and the airport. But the city center is really far... There is a beach nearby. the only one problem - it is necessary to pay to go to the beach and it is very crowded. Than You have to pay additional price for a bed. It is much smarter to go a bit further, no matter which way. Prices of rooms are too high according to the standard of this hotel. Horrible breakfasts! Nice staff.
