  Best bed and breakfast I stayed in so far

  This beautiful serene place is just minutes from Charleston and a great place to relax after doing all tourist spots. The owners are super friendly and the breakfast is superb. The place is ultra clean and well kept in comparison to other places I have stayed, I give it an A+++++ Price is very reasonable and it is very quiet. Bed was very comfy. Loved it!!

  Honeymoon

  My fiance reserved 3 nights for us here to stay after we were married in Charleston. We were definitely not disappointed. We were there in midSeptember and my fiance found this place when we were looking into hotels and wedding venues in April. I'm not a fan of hotels because we like to be able to go outdoors and feel the fresh air and all tof "that" which makes me forget that I'm in a "hotel." We stayed in the Plantation Room which is very private. There are at least 3 other areas where you can go and feel like you can hang out and read a book for a while. Then there is the marsh area with so many different birds with other wildlife and marine dwellers we could see from the marsh pier. Actually, I had just completed, "Where the Crawdads Sing" a day or so before and was expecting to see the Marsh Girl herself any minute while taking in this beautiful site that exists only in certain US locations. What a treat. Our hostess greeted us when we arrived and showed us around. She seemed to be there when we needed her and not a constant presence. We were treated like family and enjoyed an amazing breakfast each morning overlooking the marsh and there are several areas in the house for privacy and nature-watching. I really liked the "family" feel which in other settings may have felt a bit "controlled." But not here. We would definitely go back here and are glad we stayed here for part of a very special time in our lives.

  Great Stay!

  My husband and I stayed here a few weeks ago and had a great time! The inn is so clean and the breakfast was great. We really enjoyed sitting on the beautiful dock in the evening. The owners made us feel very welcomed. We would stay here again!

  Unimpressed with cancellation policy during nationwide pandemic

  I was disappointed that I was charged for entire weekend of lodging when I was unable to travel to location secondary to CoronaVirus. I contacted the innkeeper as soon as travel was cancelled, and attending seminar was prohibited but was not reimbursed for any of the costs of both nights of lodging. Any level of understanding was not verbalized to me when I called to cancel prior to arrival. I was told I needed to call and cancel 14 days prior before there was a Coronavirus. I was told the virus was not in Charleston so there would be no reimbursement for either night. I was looking forward to my seminar and a stay in the B & B but I believe the situation could have been handled much differently as I was also dealing with airlines/car rentals which were much more understanding than the B & B was. What a sad response during a nationwide state of emergency which was in force at the time.

  Southern Charm and Hospitality

  From the sweet sound of the concert of Cicadas, the Spanish Moss hanging from the trees, the unique birds that pay their beautiful back garden a visit, and the Fiddler Crabs that hide from you as you walk on the inn's private dock, this inn truly has character. You will feel like you are visiting family or friends. The hospitality of the owners is quite special. The proprietor clearly made an effort to wear a mask and book fewer people at a time, for social distancing. I was absolutely delighted with my stay. The property is secure. I felt safe as both a lone female traveler and one with the desire to not be around the crowds of big hotels during these challenging times in our nation. I could truly relax. The wi-fi was great, the room was clean, breakfast was perfect. I loved the fact that the a/c not only worked well and cooled evenly but was not overwhelmingly loud which I find in many hotels. The Boone Plantation is just around the corner. Downtown Charleston is a reasonable distance away and has some great, great restaurants. I highly recommend Magnolias. Lyft and Uber service the area but I would stick with Uber in Charleston, and Mt. Pleasant, in general. Lyft was not very dependable. I very much look forward to staying here on my next visit.
