  Going back in time

  Stayed with the family en route to Mildura. One night (Saturday in school holidays) set us back 150 dollars for a family room, which was one queen and two singles. Very ordinary room with no frills and nothing inviting. Aircon was noisy, and walls were thin. Some people decided to come home in the early hours, which woke us all up. Room has microwave, toaster and kettle so breakfast was easily made in the room. Great thing was the shower! Nice and hot, good pressure. Close to nice Thai restaurant and around the corner of Heartbeat of the Murray.

  Bring back the 80s

  Not having stayed in Swanhill for a couple of decades it was difficult to know where to stay. So when I chose this place I was hoping for a good ol country motel. What we got was a throw back to the 80s Pulling up to the room (#10) there was a whopping great light hanging off the wall outside. This was a bad sign because it light up the. Inside like it was the sun. Seriously you hardly needed to turn the light on it was so bright. I knew this was a bad sign. As for the rest of room it looks like it hasnt been renovated since 1987. Everything was how I remember room from the era. The bed was sort of ok with reasonable pillows. The tv is a relatively new Mosel and the WiFi worked well. The heating unit was one of those moaning groaning type from the 80 that you cant leave on during the night. It was so loud we had to have the tv turned up louder than usual. The shower tap dripped all night long and was like a Chinese water torture. It drove us insane! So not only was the room old and slightly dingy to make matters worse there was a cattle truck out front full of cows that were determined to make there last days alive painful for all in the motel. They mooed all night long in a low mourning sort of way. Then at 0100 in the morning the freight train came thundering through blasting its god damn horn every 10 seconds. What a nightmare! Needless to say neither of us slept that night and woke up feeling dead. If youre looking for an old fashion experience in an old fashion motel then this is it. Trouble is I was looking for a good ol fashion sleep. No thanks!

  Best standard room motel in area

  This motel ticked all our desired boxes such as $95 a night for 5 nights, Free fast WiFi, HDTV that plays movies from our memory stick, Tea & Coffee, Microwave, Toaster, Jug, Airconditioning, Location (100 metres from McDonalds and closest motel to Murray River Attractions. No hidden cost! This was second stay (28th August to 2nd September 2019).

  Older period motel but good

  This is an older style motel with compact, very clean rooms which are adequate for short term stays. Our room had a toaster and microwave as well as the usual things like coffee making facilities. Good wifi service. This motel is only a 5min leisurely walk from the main shopping strip and about 10mins from large tourist venues.

  Close to Attractions

  Not too close to the town centre, but is rather close to the attractions. Rooms reasonable size, but not too pool. does have a decent sized pool though. Was a nice motel, and easily walkable to most places as well.
