Quiet peaceful get awayMade a last minute decision to come to Pine Mountain on our way home from NC. The resort is cute and our room was comfortable and clean. The views from our balcony were spectacular. Pillows were not my favorite. There was a refrigerator in our room. Downside is the sound proofing. Had Army guys on both sides of us getting up at 5:30 and sounded like their alarms were right next to us. Pool was amazing. Newly redone and a perfect escape from the heat. Mini golf could use some cleaning up but for a few bucks worth it. Trails were great and we look forward to coming back next spring when the rhododendron forest is in full bloom. Food was decent and our server was sweet, warm and attentive. We had a such a relaxing time we extend our stay an extra night. It was exactly what we needed to recharge.

Pleasant getaway in states oldest state park.It was nice to get away after the long shutdown due to the pandemic. The good news was that the room was pleasant with a view of the Pine Mountains that you could actually sit outside and enjoy. The bed was fairly comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful. There was also a small coffee maker and a refrigerator. The negative aspect was there was no microwave, the bathroom was very small and unlike our stays in Hilton properties there is no free breakfast. That being said its a beautiful park and close to The Cumberland Gap National Park if you wanted to see it also. One other thing-there were 2 remotes for the TV(an original one for the TV and a universal remote). You had to use the original remote to turn on the TV and toggle over to the right to the HDMI to actually get the TV to work. A small note in the room telling folks that would be helpful. Fortunately I went down to the desk to ask them how to get the TV to work.

Great Well Maintained Hiking TrailsWe spent 4 days at Pine Mountain, in one of their rustic cabins. Quit, comfortable, and clean. Everyone from the front desk to housekeeping were very helpful and courteous. The lodge offers a variety of sandwiches and some light fare but nothing to write home about. We did our cooking in the cabin. It has a well supplied kitchen with cookware and table ware. All in all a nice retreat.

A Lovely EscapeThis is my second time staying in one of the original CCC cabins during the COVID pandemic first in August and second here in the beginning of November. I cannot recommend the original 1br cabins enough. They are beautiful, old, well-maintained, and perfectly sufficient for a stay. The small, but full, kitchen is great. We made breakfast for ourselves every morning and ordered takeaway for dinner at night. The first night we had the excellent catfish from the lodge, and the second night we picked up food from the Butcher's Pub (Wednesday wing night!) which was excellent. It rained this time, but that was fine. The quietness was perfect. The first time had some fantastic weather, and we were able to hike multiple trails, including the waterfall and the fern garden. I played 9 holes at Wasioto Friendly staff, nice historic cabins, great trails. Best of all
