    If you are looking for true 5 star experience then you will be disappointed

    I visited pik palace last month for 2 days during skiing season and I got mixed experience Positives - 1. Reception is friendly and they will upgrade you if they can being Bonvoy Drew had in my life, too crowded, finished food seldomly replenished and not really fresh food, filled quite disgusting 4. No hair drier connection in bathroom and need to connect somewhere in room 5. Hard to reach to reception/ operator from room, as it took me 3 hours and numerous calls before I got connected To money you pay I think it's better to try other 2 hotels close by

    An shocking experience

    Although was much excited about our ski vacation at Pik Palace, but our experience was disappointing! We traveled with my husband and 2 kids (5-8) to Azerbaijan, thinking that we will have a great vacation. I must say, the hotel was beautiful, spacious rooms, indoor/outdoor pool, gym, spa and restaurants. The restaurants experience was very poor. The buffet breakfast average, the attitude of the staff is a bit rude. Tried to go to the Italian restaurant (Scallini) for dinner. We were rejected and rudely because we didnt have reservation. The guy in charge didnt even offer us to wait for a table to be available or sit by the bar or any other thing. I felt like as if I was kicked out of the restaurant. Believe me a shock !!!! The worst is , when we went to the other restaurant (Alpina), we were asked to wait. After we waited for 10-15 mn, we were showed to a table. Then a waiter come and ask us to move because they need to add our table to another. Being rejected twice in one night from 2 different restaurants!!! I was literally shocked by the lack of professionalism, the rudeness and lack of empathie , have to mention its A Marriott hotel.As if I have to ask for room service and stay in my room. What a vacation!!!! I leave it to you to see if you will stay in this hotel and be treated poorly! Shame

    Stunning but let itself down

    Prior to my arrival i tried to contact the hotel to request a baby cot and childcare options, but the phone was rarely answered or i was placed on hold and never got back to. The hotel and the rooms are beautiful, clean and comfy. Service is terrible at the main restaurant, we saw our drinks sat on the bar for so long we got up and served ourselves. Food was great though. loved the bread. The Italian service was much better, just very slow. the food was ok (some meals very dry) My main issue with the hotel is the lack of childcare - Basically there is none. we went across to the Park Chalet and paid for a babysitter in the other hotel. - but no one at Pik Palace could suggest any options for us. I would return. because the location is great, and we loved the resort (great on site ski hire). But it is frustrating that the staff can let a property down

    Ski holiday

    Visited the Pik Palace in February for a ski holiday as a family of four, 2 kids aged 10 and 7. Good points: 1. Had 2 interconnecting rooms - they were massive, generally clean, warm and quiet. 2. Comms from one of the staff before we arrived, (Emin) were fantastic. He answered questions and advised quickly all the points I had about the rooms, ski hire/ lessons etc. He was also very helpful and cheerful during our stay. 3. Good location near (50m) walk from the slopes. 4. Can easily walk to the other 2 hotels in the complex 5. Ski hire shop in the hotel basement has newish modern equipment. 6. We were lucky that there was a fresh dump of snow as we arrived - and nearly all the runs are snow cannoned which seemed to run quite a lot of the time. 7. Outdoor pool a novelty in the snow. 8. Slopes were quiet even at the weekend. Points to improve. 1. Restaurent service. Occasionally good, sometimes very slow - waited more than 45 min for drinks more than once. Bit annoying but not a deal breaker. 2. You could only sign bills for stuff to the room if youd put down some kind of credit at the front desk. This wasnt explained at check in (where we were asked to pay up front for the whole stay at check in). It only became apparent when we ordered a couple of room service drinks, signed for them, then the guy came back asking for cash as we had not put down credit for our room. Not a big deal but not really what you expect at a 5 star hotel. Maybe its an Azerbaijan thing. 3. Equally at the ski shop the request was to pay for ski hire items every day. But they only had one cash till, we chose to escape the melee in the morning and just paid for it all at the end. 4. Suggest the hotel works with the ski school in the neighboring hotel to improve the quality of ski instructors. Raul - for my kids was good, but saw other guests having difficulties with theirs. 5. Suggest the hotel works with the resort to improve the frequency of ski patrols - we saw several beginners giving it the 50mph snow plough straight down the mountain, with zero directional control; at times I felt I had to physically shield my kids from this type of thing. Not the hotels fault but Ive seen people get their ski passes rescinded for this type of thing in other resorts. Overall the positives outweighed the negatives and we would definitely go back.

    Excellent Ski Resort Hotel

    Great 5 star hotel set in the Shadag Ski Resort . Elshan and his team have welcomed us year after year and the service and hospitality we receive is truly outstanding . Spa and outdoor pool are great .On site Scallini restaurant ran by Elio , Emin and the team is a great place to socialise and enjoy fine Italian food . Worth a visit .
