  Truly amazing!

  I cannot say enough about this place! From the caring staff, the beautiful grounds, central location... pure magic. Federica and her staff are the kindest and warmest hosts you could possibly ask for- and then some. They go above & beyond in providing comfort, answering questions, making recommendations, and taking care of any and all of your needs. The massage therapists are also phenomenal. The grounds are stunning and provide a beautiful and peaceful atmosphere for your trip to Pico. There is also a market within a ten minute walk and taxi service into the city center if 5 euro, and a quick drive, or an easy 30 minute walk. Taxi service round trip to the mountain is 30 euro. If you are looking for a magical and serene place to stay, youve found it here. Oh, and check out the on site restaurant, Atmosfera... so delicious (and with vegan and vegetarian options), not to be missed!!

  beautiful place in Pico

  We had a wonderful 3 days at this beautiful hotel in Pico. Just outside the main town of Madalena. Set in its own forest, looking out across to Faial island, it is a tranquil haven with great views, GREAT staff, cosy, peaceful lodges in the forest and just 5 euros in a cab from the port. Can't recommend it highly enough.

  Warm welcome

  We would stay for one night, but ended up two night longer :) Warm welcome by Federica and Ines; they gave us helpful information and assistance when needed. Lovely location in the middle of the trees. Highly recommended!

  Pico Trek Trip

  Alma is one of the best hotels I have stayed anywhere. The place is amazing and the staff incredible!! Top place to stay. Nature and eco resort fully integrated in the forest amazing restaurant, all is great here, and the staff goes the extra mile to make your stay hassle free.

  So, how do I explain this incredible location and staff? Peace... welcoming... happy... During your stay at Alma do Pico you can stopped time without even realizing it. Thank you Federica and Ines... I hope to stay in touch with you in the future :-D
