Great location for day hikesWe stayed here for 3 nights, with half-board. The room was comfortable, with a deck overlooking the meadow. Staff was friendly, and the breakfast and dinners were excellent. Able to hike everywhere from here. Nice swimming pool also.

Good room with an amazing view and great hikingOur stay here was brief but great. We lucked out and somehow managed to get one of the largest room in the place. This was in late September during the off-season but still. On the 3rd floor we had a private balcony with 3 large swivel windows that enclosed it. Our room also had a murphy-style bunkbed over a small sitting area, though we didn't have any use for it. Otherwise the room was rather simple but good enough for everything we needed. The biggest plus was the view! All rooms on the front side have a magnificent view of the Dolomites. It was the best in the morning as the sun rises behind you and the light reflects off the mountains. It was a 10-15 walk down to the ski lift to go up the mountain and about 5-10 minutes to the cable car that takes you down to the base. The rest of the hotel seemed average. Our dinner included in the half-board was decent, not great. Breakfast was good. The place was clean. They also had a bar and a swimming pool, but we didn't use either. Overall very good for the price. I would stay here again.

GREAT LOCATIONMy husband and I stayed for one night the first Saturday in September. We rented a car in Innsbruck for the 2 + hour drive to stay in the Dolomites. The drive up to Alpe di Siusi from the A12 Highway was a winding mountain road with a sensational view. When we arrived we were greeted with a festival set up across the street. There was food and various items for sale, as well as a band from Slovenia playing and singing polka music on stage. Staying at this hotel is wonderful! THIS IS WHERE IT'S AT! All of the hiking trails, funiculars and buses to farther distance funiculars is right at your hotel with free parking. Even with a car, it is necessary to take a bus to Saltria to catch the Florian lift to a fabulous location. There is no place to park your car there. This is a national park. A lot of people staying elsewhere are faced with limited parking in a small lot across the street at 18 euro, or limited parking at the foot of the mountain to take the Seis-Seiser Alm Bahn here. This hotel has 5 star service & location! Patricia worked hard to see that guests were happy. The rate was fabulous which included breakfast with scrambled eggs, ham, cheese, cereal, danish, breads, etc. This also included half board, a bountiful dinner for all guests at 7:30 PM. There were 3 choices for appetizer, entrees & dessert when you checked in. There was also a salad & vegetable buffet before the meal. Drinks were extra, including coffee, sodas, beer & wine. The hotel is clean and has an elevator. We had a room on the front with a lovely view, with comfortable bed & pillows. Breakfast started at 7:30 AM. I would highly recommend this hotel and would love to come stay here again.

Good stay, what you'd expectWe stayed here for two nights with half board while hiking in the vicinity. We asked a two days before our stay if we could park the car at the hotel already, and that was no problem at all. The room looked a bit old but was certainly adequate. We had a family room with a large double bed and an extra room with two single beds. The extra room was a bit small, but suitable. The breakfast had lots to choose from. Diner has to be ordered upfront. Good value for money.

Good location at reasonable priceAs a base for a hike across the Seiser Alm the hotel Piccolo Sciliar in Compatsch works quite well. Seiser Alm a natural park so access via car is limited and parking for the day at Compatsch alone cost 18. This hotel located opposite the general car park therefore seems like a deal. I had a fairly basic, but clean, adequately sized room with a nice hot water shower and an enclosed balcony that provided wonderful views of the Petz for the very reasonable walk-in price of 62. This included the simple breakfast buffet (bread, scrambled eggs, bacon, salami, cheese, variety of cereals, pastries and juices), as much coffee, tea, cappuccino as you like from a self-service espresso machine, free wifi and parking. The service was a bit brisk but that might have to do with the language barrier. Although a lot of people speak German around here the hotel staff and the guest were predominantly Italian. I had to wait quite a while in front of an empty reception desk until anybody took an interest in enquiring what I would want. Or maybe it was due to the restrictions caused by the virus. The hotel was quite full (lots of families) and staff had to remind everybody to wear their masks in the correct areas. There was also a strange division between breakfast areas. I first wandered into the wrong room (the restaurant) and was re-directed into the correct smaller lounge area overlooking the hotels car park. The buffet offered the same selection though so I could not figured out if that division was linked to the room rate or to personal preference of the manager.
