  Family run, very nice people.

  Great service, appartments are basic. Nice pool with snackbar en a good glass of beer! The family will do anything to make your stay as good as possible. Due to cover is was very quiet, hope that they will get more travelers.

  Another year, another fantastic welcome. Beautiful family run business. Clean, friendly. Suitable for all, especially families with children. Good food, service 100% vaso, vasilis, manos, Sofia, katerina all beautiful and will always accommodate to your needs. We have already looked at booking for next year as this is the best holiday destination in crete

  Another amazing holiday at Petra Village!

  Me and my boyfriend enjoyed our holiday at Petra Village so much last year, we had to return again this year! We stayed for 16 nights and really didn't want to leave. :( Vaso and Vasilis who ran the bar most of the time, made our holiday incredibly fun! Vaso's children Manos and Katerina who helped run the bar were also great! Lovely family run apartments, couldn't fault anyone or anything! Food was also great, a lot more on the menu than last year including a vegetarian burger which was good for me as I don't eat meat. My boyfriend had Gyros one day which was MASSIVE but he enjoyed every last bit and it was only 7! We're already looking at booking again for next year as we can't wait to be back and have yet another fantastic holiday :)

  Truly Unforgettable

  Second time here, came 11 months ago. I know we are in the middle of a pandemic, but my god what a holiday! Never have I felt so relaxed and safe! 100X better and safer than the UK. Apart from that, Vaso, Vas and family were amazing. So accommodating! 16 nights of great service. The bar sadly had to close at midnight due to local government restrictions but you still had an amazing night. Rooms, again basic Greek rooms. Spotless, a little tired but they are planning to referb them between the end of this season and 2022. Great base to explore the beautiful towns and villages nearby. Seriously consider this place, you can not go wrong with it at all. If youre expecting 5*, go elsewhere because this is cheap, cheerful and amazing value for money. Food at the pool bar was massively improved this year with a wide variety of dishes at unbelievably good prices. Thanks again Vaso, Vas and family, see you next year

  A great little family run complex

  We stayed here 25th August - 9th September and had a great time. Vas and Vasso are great hosts and couldn't do enough to help. Other reviews have commented on the rooms and it is true they are basic and a bit tired. This is our experience: The first room we had (for one night) was very tired and being on the ground floor there wasn't a view. The shower head sprayed water sideways over the mirror lights. After a word with Vas she moved us to a nicer room on the first floor. This room had a better layout and a balcony that had a great view towards Hersonissos harbour. So a big thanks to Vas. Our return flight was at 11:40pm and we should have been out of the room by 11am. Vas kindly provided another room for us (free of charge) for this last day so we could enjoy a day on the beach and get showered and packed up. Big thanks to Vas again! I think this was only possible as there were a lot of cancellations due to the Coronavirus restrictions being tightened. Vas did explain that they would be doing up the rooms and they certainly need some time and money spent on them. They are adequate though and clean. The virus changed the cleaning regime and the process for replacing towels and sheets but that worked fine. The pool and bar area is great and the perfect way to take the last of the sun after an exhausting day on the beach. There is a massive choice of execllent restaurants within 15 minutes walk - too many to try in just a couple of weeks. We particularly liked Aposperida, Emmanuel and Billy's, We didn't get a chance to say thanks and good bye to Vas and Vasso as our transfer coach driver was hassling us so we would like to say that now... THANKS VAS AND VASSO!!
