  Quiet and comfortable

  Heading south from Brisbane with some business meetings en-route, I stayed at Peter Allen Motor Inn for a comfortable night. A basic but comfortable room with all required conveniences and it doesn't break the bank! I stay in motels about 180 nights a year and I consider this a very reasonable tariff! Very friendly manager, plus if you're staying in town, try the Commercial Boutique Hotel for dinner. The room at the back of the complex was very quiet plus it had a ceiling fan which makes warm nights very comfortable; cool with air conditioning then replace it with ceiling fan air circulation. Motel rooms are not designed for air flow. Recommended.

  Traveling to Sydney from Brisbane

  Well priced family suite that we were able to walk in and take for a night. Would recommend it for a good night's sleep, quiet, clean and comfortable. Centrally located in Tenterfield. Air-conditioned, walk to local food shops.

  COMFY AND CLEAN

  Opted for a King Room very nice and clean room with very little traffic noise, only problems were at book in when there was no one at reception at about 2-15pm when we were eventually met by the manager with a towel arround his waist after just coming out of the shower , tried to use the toaster the next morning but it tripped the circuit , no one to be found at the reception to report the problem.

  Decent motel in town centre

  Stayed two weeks, was accidentally overcharged, despite the managers promise of a refund, still waiting while he ignores me. Seems to me their accounting method needs updating. As for the motel room, it was the older style room in so much that it was larger than most newer motels. Cleaning was done by cheerful staff. BBQ area was handy as was supermarket across the street. There was very little highway noise and quite a few cafes nearby.

  Noisy and smelly

  It was a very smelly unit, the room smelling of cigarette smoke and the toilet smelling as well. No ventilation fan in the shower/toilet. Loose windows and they have made no attempt to muffle the sound, so it is very noisy, being right on the highway. On a positive note, there was a bed, four walls and a ceiling
