  Golf Trip

  Stayed here for 1 week with 3 others on golfing trip. Hotel and staff great and very helpful and friendly, especially Mikela who could not do enough for us. The location was ideal, close to all amenities,a stone's throw to the beach with great boardwalk. Breakfast was fantastic, great selection. Villa was amazing that we stayed in. The hotel atmosphere was so pleasant and inviting. Definitely recommend it and we are going back without a doubt.

  Mixed review

  Ok so we just spent 9 days here after touring the rest of Portugal from Porto down. Had a 2 bedroom villa which was nice, clean and convenient. The problem is the beach. As in there wasnt one. It was being ripped up and was pretty much a mess for the whole time. I really felt we should have been informed of this so we could have moved to Lagos or Portimao. The town of Alvor was lovely with many great restaurants and the people were so friendly. I am attaching some photos of the beach do you can see what I mean. If you are going there looking for a nice beach holiday, I suggest you move elsewhere.

  THEFT

  After arrival and check in, we had left out bags in the room after not being informed that one rooms we were using had a safe. After myself and the girls had come back from the pool, I had noticed that a large sum of money had been stolen from our room. However this was not the only shock which we exeprienced. The lack of drive and ease to disregard this incident by the hotel staff was astonishing. Even at a managerial level, not even a bare mimimum was being done to ensure that member of staff behid this was caught, nor to give us any piece of mind and assist us in any further actions. In all my time abroad, this was by far the worst exepience I have ever had at a hotel. Would definatley not recommend.

  Disappointed stay

  Very disappointing villa was very basic no washing machine only a hob if you wanted to cook not enough sockets in the kitchen as ground floor villa there were mosquitoes not nice feel that the villas need the be updated not an appealing look in the kitchen to see the hole in wall were the washer should have been

  1 week holiday

  Had a lovely stay in dom jaoa hotel. Excellent service from viktoria on reception, janina at pool bar and lovely blonde lady who did an excellent job on our rooms. Pool bar area could do with a better choice of food and drink. No cocktails at all really. Very nice stay we had and we look forward to going back again.
