  Nice and comfortable stay. Not too seasoned

  Stayed 1 night since we just got back from Pulau Kapas and decided to stay at Kuala Terengganu for food hunting. Stayed 1 night from 28 July to 29 July with 3 children (aged 9yo, 6yo, and 2yo). We've booked a deluxe room with an extra bed. Room: spacious and not too seasoned. still got extra space even though had fit in the extra bed. My room view was seaview with a swimming pool view. We did not have problem with air-cond throughout the stay. Bed & pillows were comfy. The bedsheet was clean and not smelly. Cleanliness: satisfied Toilet: spacious with raindrop shower. Toiletries were provided by the hotel. Breakfast: was variety and OK. Main dish was Nasi Dagang. Pool: big and clean. There are main pool and children pool. Water was clean and clear. My children enjoyed it so much! Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel location: near to town and Pantai Batu Burok. Overall, satisfied with the hotel. Will definitely come back again.

  Not bad at all

  This is 2nd time i stay here during my business trip at KT. Room price is quite a bargain considering this hotel is not far away from local attraction such as batu burok beach. I think the style of this hotel is quite 80s with long corridor and wooden furniture. But as far as my concern all facilities is working properly & the room is comfortable enough for my 2 days staying there. Breakfast is so-so but not bad at all.

  My annual visit to Permai Hotel (as it is now called)

  I booked a family room and was somewhat disconcerted to find that it was located in the old wing. However, the room had been renovated and lighting was excellent. The bathroom/toilet was spacious and a new TV had been installed. However, they provided only 2 cups, 2 bottles of water and 2 towels - but 3 breakfast vouchers! When I pointed out that it was a family room, they sent an additional cup and towel. Oh well ... breakfast on the first day was good, but on the second day, it was just ok. All in all, it was still a satisfactory stay for an annual visit.

  Needs a lot of improvements

  Stayed for 3D2N for a business event at the same hotel. ~Room~ Pros: - spacious room - tv selection is good. tv is clear as well (some hotel's tv are not clear) - spacious bathroom - sejadah is provided - iron & ironing board provided in each room - aircond works well - housekeeping were efficient - technician was also quick and efficient - great selection for breakfast buffet - hot water is available throughout our stay Cons: - upon arrival, the carpet were quite dirty, we even found a used cigarette butt but housekeeping was quick to respond to our call - we were placed in the "new" wing. dont expect it to be new, because it still smells and looks like 10 year old place - when we first entered the bathroom, and used the sink, there's a lingering sewage smell for a few minutes. a bit unpleasant, but it goes away after awhile - dont expect for sparkling white towels. not sure if this is what they chose, but their towels are a little grey-ish. we first thought their towels are dirty. they are clean but not white. - no face towels. only bath towels. - no shower caps - though breakfast selection was great, they could improve on taste as some were a tad too salty - checking in was quick. however, when we arrive, nobody was there to greet us, to help with the bags, to show us the reception area. we dont expect 5 star treatment of course, but at least have someone to ask if we are checking in and which way we should go. mind you, the front desk was empty, it looked like an empty counter, which was why we didnt know which way to go at first. ~Function Room~ Pros: very spacious Cons: - aircond was too cold. we could either switch off or on, we cant control the temperature - we couldnt inspect the room before the program, therefore we couldnt rectify or change certain aspects before our program. we had to do it the morning before, which caused some chaos as participants were already coming in, and we were busy rearranging some of the tables and chairs. - banquet staff is a bit slow in responding to our request, in clearing the f&b area (caused some flying insects to fly around the f&b area and the seminar room as well), in attending to our complaints about the aircond. however, when they do arrive. they were very helpful. - lunch for seminar participants lacks selection. no coffee provided during lunch too. (seriously? some people live on coffee) - please improve the projector & projector screen facilities in your function room. it is time to install a built in system instead of the old-school portable ones. Others: There is no business center in the hotel. The room is full of flowers.

  Improvement and Facelift is Needed

  Stayed here for 2 nights. Pros: 1. Room is large. 2. Basement parking is available and the elevator from parking can go straight to room floor. 3. Near to town and beach. Cons: 1. The hot water for shower and sink basin was not working. 2. Dated, worn down and jaded furniture and hotel decoration. 3. Basement parking needs more lighting at certain area. Basement parking also has funky smell. 4. Many powerpoint plug in the room are not working. 5. Several in-room lamp/light bulb are not functioning.
