  Hard to judge

  We were only booked to stay one night and had to leave quite promptly the next morning so it's difficult to judge somewhere on such a short stay. We were also staying in the suite so we didn't know what the other rooms were like. The suite was enormous comprising a very large bedroom, an equally large sitting room and wide terrace all round. The furnishings were 50s style and well maintained. Everything in the bathroom worked well and there were nice toiletries. There was also a second toilet. On the downside there wasn't a lift so we had to carry our luggage up the flight of stairs. Unfortunately the weather wasn't good so we couldn't make use of the hot tubs on the deck which must be really nice in the sunshine. There were also very nice views across the water. We had to have breakfast in the Hotel Jagua opposite where the dining room was absolutely heaving with tour groups at 8am but in fairness the buffet was very substantial and a plus was being able to access wi-fi in the lobby. For us the location in Punta Gorda wasn't great and we felt a little as if we were in the middle of nowhere, but if you want to just relax and be by the sea it is fine. There weren't many restaurants nearby so we had to take a taxi when we went out to eat

  Simply Fantastic

  This is not so much a hotel, as it is a group of homes on the water that have been grouped into resort. The rooms are quite spacious with common areas that open out onto the bay. We loved this place as it was well kept and the staff was very helpful. Our desk clerk was Marlene, and she couldn't have been more gracious and accommodating. She handled our every request with the utmost of professionalism and made us feel very welcomed. Jose was our bartender who mixed a wonderful Mojito that was such a relief from a long day of of touring and interacting with the local people and culture. We loved this place and will certainly return.

  Hotel pequeño en un lugar precioso

  Esta ubicado en Punta gorda Cienfuegos es una casa familiar antigua restaurada y convertida actualmente en un hotel boutique, tiene un patio con una bella vista hacia al mar con dos jacuzzi, rodeado de cómodos asientos y mesas para degustar un buen trago Los huésped pueden hacer uso de las instalaciones del hotel Casa Verde que esta al lado y el hotel Jagua que esta al frente, mi desayuno fue en hotel Jagua buffet excelente y variado

  Small hotel by the sea. Comfortable, though rather basic

  Nice little hotel, a fair distance from the town centre. Clean, comfortable, but simple. There is no restaurant, and breakfast is provided at the Jagua on the other side of the main road. On the ocean side, rather than the lagoon.

  Muy bien

  Un poco alejado si quieres visitar Cienfuegos pero nosotros íbamos en un circuito guiado y nos dejaban en el hotel y nos recogían,así q muy bien,el hotel estaba muy limpio,el personal muy amable. Tiene dos jacuzzis y unas vistas al mar preciosas. También tienes derecho a entrar a la piscina en el hotel de en frente que es aún más grande,y allí fuimos también para desayunar y cenar porque se ve que tenían como un convenio entre hoteles y nosotros teníamos media pensión contratada. Por la noche nos tomamos algo en el bar del hotel y la chica muy simpática y agradable. Lo que más me impresionó de esta zona fue los cangrejos y bastantes grandes algunos además,iban por las calles....la chica nos dijo q algunas veces pinchaban las ruedas de los coches y todo
