Welcoming staffWe spent 4 nights in this comfortable, clean and well appointed hotel. The staff were friendly, eager to help and wanted to make sure we had an enjoyable stay; e.g. we were invited to have an evening meal on the roof top which gave us a great view, especially at sunset. Breakfast provided choices; juice, tea and coffee, fruit, toast, rice dishes, noodle dishes and fried eggs. Free internet is a plus. Theikpan Street is a main road into Mandalay so the hotel is well situated for travelling to Pyin Oo Lwin, for example. If your room faces onto Theikpan Street be sure not to miss the Fire Brigade Officers going through their 6.45 am drill!

Friendly environment though conversing with English was problemIt is budget hotel ($36-40/day) located at main street so that you visit to locations easily. Though English was problem with staff. Over all there very friendly, Mostly we returned to hotel by late night after touring places. Break fast was good. Had dinner only one day, but was nice.

Good location and friendly staffPerfect Hotel is located on one of the 4 major roads leading into Mandalay. Although it is not quite city center, this does not make a great difference because even if you select a hotel downtown, you need transportation if you want to vist the main tourist attractions as distances are big and nothing is within walking distance in the center. The hotel provided me with transportation to and from the airport. This is a modern hotel with clean and comfortable rooms with aircon, flatscreen TV and fridge and very friendly staff. The hotel has a restaurant, a bar and a SPA. During my stay they were upgrading their internet connection so this was the best one I experienced in Myanmar although it cannot match the connections we have in Europe. My room had a nice bathroom with hand- and rainshower. At one side of the hotel there are railway lines but do not expect any noise from there as there are only 2 trains a day travelling at about 20 km/hour. Don't miss to watch them. Around the hotel there are long avenues where you can watch how the locals live and trade on the markets early in the morning. Also see the monks doing their rounds early morning to collect food. I will certainly return to this hotel when in Mandalay again.

Clean, Cheap and ComfortBy location, the hotel looks far from city center but practically, it's not. The room I stayed was pretty clean and spacious. Breakfast was ok and served with local foods but would get your stomach filled enough. Wi-fi is available in both room and the Lobby but slow. Hot water and shower are good. The hotel has an in-house Spa and Bar next to Coffee House located on the ground floor. Bicycle/ motorbike can be rent at the hotel's reception to explore the city. Staff are friendly and a few of them can speak simple english. Room rates are quite reasonable. Overall, it's a decently good accommodation.

Far from perfect...I stayed for one night and was underwhelmed by this Hotel. Although somewhat new from what I was told, there seems to be a lot of construction in the hotel which resulted in dust and dirt seemingly everywhere. Thankfully the manager at check in spoke English otherwise it seemed that all other staff members have virtually no English capability. Power outages were common which resulted in having to use a coat hanger to reset the air conditioner numerous times in order to get it working. I didn't have any hot water for my shower which is a major inconvenience. The wifi was decent for Myanmar standards. The hotel's restaurant looked promising. Since I had a long day of travel the next day, I wanted to order something safe to eat. The menu had photos of each dish and was labeled in both English and Myanmar. I chose the spaghetti however I was served a huge piece of meat. None of the staff in the restaurant spoke English and they couldn't understand what was wrong. There is a decent bbq restaurant that is a few minute walk down the street. I passed on the complimentary breakfast as nothing looked particularly appetizing. The location is not very good either. There really isn't anything to see in the area and, to be honest, I wouldn't want to walk around that area at night by myself. Apparently the hotel accepts visa but the card reader wasn't working when I was there so be sure to bring cash. Perhaps it was my mistake, but I didn't realize that this hotel caters more to locals than to western tourists. I would definitely stay somewhere more centralized in Mandalay.
