  Disappointed in Room/Bathroom and access - Very Good Food

  We were disappointed with the room size (tiny) along with the bathroom. It was located on the third floor, very hard to access particularly for the elderly. The restaurant was excellent for both dinner and breakfast and the staff were friendly and prpofessional.

  Luxury Escapes

  I always have medium expectations when I stay away from home , and always hope to be surprised.. I was very surprised at this beautiful property... firstly , lets state that this is an OLD property. Our room was smaller ( like most old properties) but light, airy , very modern and had everything you could need for a stay. Lovely toiletries also. We chose wisely with the balcony room ... what a view !! One misty morning and the next day, bright sunshine looking over the pristine golf course and up to the hills and escarpment... just divine. To stand on the balcony, cuppa in hand was delightful. So when we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by a lovely young woman. And given information and vouchers that went along with our package. She then walked us almost to our room ( just as well, as its a vast property- alittle maze like!) With Covid, only cardboard cups for our drinks were available and no servicing of rooms .( you could get replacements for anything you wanted, teas, coffees, milks, towels etc. very easily) We are grownups and had no problem pulling up our bed to keep the room tidy. And the towels dried in the warm room anyway. ALL GOOD. We thoroughly enjoyed our strolls around the property and its beautiful gardens ... gorgeous. There were nooks and crannies everywhere , with pleasant lounges, or outdoor areas... ponds etc There were a couple of large lounge areas for reading and enjoying the open fires. Plenty of room. Every staff member we met was friendly and helpful and we cant wait to come back. Its old, it creaks but its gorgeous Enjoyed our meals at The in-house restaurant... see separate reviews.

  Great getaway

  Ive been to Craigieburn many times, it never disappoints. Staff are very friendly and helpful, my room was upgraded at no additional cost. Food is sensational in the on-site Hickory restaurant. The gardens are delightful to wander around , the 9 hole golf course is in great condition and easy walking bar one big hill.

  Bad Rooms

  We were allocated rooms (even though we booked 1 year in advance) that felt like jail cells - they were noisy, there was so much light in the room it was hard to sleep . I would think about what you wish to achieve from a stay in this area before booking this hotel

  Pleasant country stay

  Perfect couple of days away. Clean modern country sized rooms, decent but not big. Excellent staff, excellent coffee from the bar in the morning. Take the coffee on the verandah, off the restaurant pop p . Good, well watered and green, relaxed 9 hole golf course.
