  Cute hotel at the foot of a hill

  The hotel was really nice and met my expectations of a typical Austrian hotel with it's decor. The restaurant was really nice and especially the service that the waiter gave me telling about the local specialties and locally produced food. The breakfast of the hotel was amazing and I was thrilled that there was so many tea options to choose from.

  Simply Fantastic

  I cannot say enough good things about our stay at Penzinghof. We arrived at the picturesque setting to be greeted warmly by Johanna at reception. There was a welcome board with the family names of all who were arriving that day, which was a lovely touch. We were offered a complimentary glass of apple juice while we filled out the check-in form and were escorted to our room. The room was clean and comfortable, with a balcony looking out over the fields at the back of the hotel. There were cows grazing (complete with cowbells) and the whole atmosphere was one of calm and comfort. That night we decided to dine in the hotel restaurant and chose the 'Surprise' menu, billed as consisting of three courses. It was in fact five courses of exquisite delights! The price point was very good for what we received, the service was excellent and very friendly. We also chose the 'surprise' selection of wines: one white, two red, and one dessert wine (we shared these between us but I'd recommend getting one selection per person). We weren't told about the wines until the end and the lady who spoke to us was very knowledgable. We made use of the spa the following day. I cannot over-emphasise how immaculately clean and how wonderful the facilities were. There was a large relaxation room with complimentary tea and magazines. The steam room was excellent, as were the two saunas (with the cold 'ice room' in between). We were never so relaxed! The buffet-style breakfast provided was out of this world! The quality and freshness of everything and the wide range of choices were unbelievable! One could also order freshly-cooked eggs in any style (which were delicious). There was even live music on the Sunday morning! We will definitely stay here again. We cannot recommend it highly enough: simply fantastic.

  Scenery

  Excellent service. Lots of choices for breakfast from light to heavy and cooked food. Staff are friendly and attentive especially the lady who served our breakfast this morning(29/6/16).Free gym and outdoor pool. They have free bike rentals as well. This place is good for relaxation. Nice to cycle along the river and mountain. Spa is as excellent as the rest of them. If you check in this hotel, try their pancake dessert. The best pancake I ever had so far.

  Lunch with friends

  An excellent simple lunch, good soups and large portions of meats salads and great bread. Large dining room with views over village. Good wines by the glass. Excellent coffee. This is an expensive village but this is value for money

  Beautiful hotel

  I stayed in the hotel by change whilst travelling for business in Austria. This hotel has a beautiful swimming pool and bar area. The breakfast they serve is one of the best I have ever had. The scenery (mountains) is lovely as well
