    Friendly and convenient

    Two things I look for after a day of travel, a friendly and welcoming host and a comfortable room. This hotel had both as well as the convenience of being right in the old town. With a very comfortable and well appointed room and an ample and tasty breakfast it ticks most of the boxes. An upgrade to the wifi would be an advantage for travellers. A great restaurant is just across the road too.

    A Hotel that makes you come back

    The Schweizer Hotel in Silandro is a fantastic BB. The staff is very friendly and the owner gives you perfect information about possible tours and places to visit in the surrounding. Breakfast is very gut and rich. Beds and lining are very good, bathrooms clean and up to date. We enjoyed the stay very much and we will return back soon again.

    One night stay as part of pre booked bike tour

    One night stay. Top floor with cases and no elevator - unsuitable for one night stay. Small room, very old fashioned and no air con. Asked for fan - not available. Reception not especially apologetic or very keen to find solution although we accepted offer to carry case to room (although we must carry it down in the morning).

    Average 2 star hotel

    This hotel is in a good location right in the centre of town. It's a small family run establishment but the service wasn't particularly friendly. The rooms are quite dated (think orange towels and bedding) although it was spotlessly clean and had a decent bathroom. There's no lift so it's not the place for carrying suitcases to the second floor. We thought it was fine for 1 night but glad we didn't stay any longer.

    Very nice

    Stayed here for one night on a cycling tour. Right in the centre of the town, probably newly refurbished, rooms were comfortable, clean and tidy. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and breakfast was very nice. Would definitely go back
