  Worst hotel (pension) experience ever

  We are in complete agreement with the February 25, 2013 review about the rude behavior of the owners and that their Pension is nearly impossible to find, and we believe that the owner's response on March 10, 2013 is false advertising. There were no visible signs in the area for the Pension and no written instructions available online (it took us along with another pair of guests whom we randomly met on the road 1.5 hours to find the place while searching together). Additionally, the hotel was unreliable since a room key was not waiting for us as had been promised by the owners during an earlier conversation, and no one answered a call (made by the other guests with whom we arrived) to the hotels phone number.  Further the hotel was run in an unprofessional manner, with the employees/owners behaving extremely rudely and making false assumptions, and in turn, nasty false accusations (e.g., accusing us of being drunk when all we had to drink in more than 24 hours was water; attacking us for our late arrival even though we had agreed upon it during a previous conversation). Note that the owners appeared to be oblivious to the fact that there were two other guests that arrived together with us whom had not notified the owners of their late arrival (the guests explicitly told us this) and had made a phone call (to no answer) since they were lost. Nevertheless, these two guests had been left a room key and were not verbally attacked, despite the fact that their situation was nearly identical to ours. Overall, this hotel experience was the worst we have ever had by a long shot.  This is my first negative review about a location in my 31 years of living, having traveled and stayed in hotels/hostels/etc. in more than 30 countries.  Again, we are in complete agreement with the February 25, 2013 assessment of Waldkrieber and can assure you that, based on our experience, the owners are dishonest, are poorly managing their Pension, and in turn, are attacking their guests and making false statements about the guests and the situations in times of confusion/hardship.

  Síeléshez kitn választás

  Két évvel korábban már voltunk itt szintén télen egy nagyobb baráti társasággal, most négyen voltunk. Mindennel meg voltunk elégedve most is. Bséges reggeli, hangulatos szobák, tisztaság, ftött síbakancs szárító és sítároló az alagsorban. Lehetett kérni vacsorát, amit bátran ajánlok, Anna remek szakács! A finom falatok mellett külön öröm volt, hogy nem kellett az egész napos síelés után éttermet keresni vagy a vacsoráról gondoskodni. A síbusz megállója pár perces sétára van, de autóval is gyorsan megközelíthet a Millenium Express parkolója. Ha valaki nem pályaszállást keres, nagyszer választás. Two years ago we were here with a large group of friends, now just four of us. We were satisfied with everything this time also. Plenty of breakfast, cozy rooms, cleanliness, heated ski boot dryer and ski storage room in the basement. You could ask for dinner, I highly recommend, Anna is a great cook! The ski bus stop is a few minutes' walk away, but with car you can also quickly reach the Millennium Express parking place. If someone doesn't looking for accommodation at the ski slopes, it's a great choice.

  Good guesthouse

  It is a classical Austrian guesthouse. The sleeping is good, breakfast is good, the rooms are oldish, but good enough. At least it is clean, so no complains. If you drive by navigation, don't believe TT. Go to the Schluga Seecamping, but if you turn from the B111 to the camping, not go right to the camping, but go left. After +/- 600 meter go to the right.

  Scenic location, friendly host and reasonable pricing

  Pension Waldkrieber is a very rustic and nice place to stay. The rooms are spacey and clean with large balconies and good private bathrooms. The included breakfast is very adequate and wholesome. The only real downside is the problem with finding the place. Your GPS might send you astray, as ours did. Your best bet at getting there is to stay on Gailtal Strasse until you reach Schluga Seecamping Nature Park. Take the exit to the camping site there, and then follow the small dirt road to your left (running alongside Gailtal Strasse). This road will take you straight to the establishment.

  Very nice small hotell with very kind owner, Best location in Kärnten summertime.

  Wintertime i don t know. However: Good breakfast and clean rooms. Very close 400 m to a magnific and varm lake surounded by alptops, Magnificiant. Also good bar and clean beach along the water. Highly recommended, i will return one day.
