Satisfactory for a short stayWe spent only a night there. The room facilities weren't very modern but it was clean. The receptionist can speak at least four languages including Serbian as well. She was very helpful. The breakfast didn't contain a large variety of food but we were satisfied with it. The worst thing was the location as it was situated along a street where there was a heavy traffic even at night.

Cheap & cheerful but good location & private roomOnce located reception staff were helpful and spoke great English, but they were a bit hard to find (they've recently taken over the next door restaurant so were pretty busy) however they were happy with a last minute booking and even when I increased my stay. The card machine was having issues so they preferred cash but were very patient about sorting that out (some hotels I know practically frogmarch you to a cash point!) Since I booked directly at the hotel - staff let me view the rooms first to choose and it was 50 euros a night for single room with breakfast. The "garden" facing room was quietest which was great in the hot weather and my window was wide open all night without any sound issues. WiFi was included and worked well even with a distant room. The TV was broken but I didn't get around to telling them (planned to mention on check out but couldn't find anyone). The shower was powerful (didn't stay on the wall but a common problem in all levels of hotels) and the bathroom was a reasonable size overall. There is hand wash supplied but no other toiletries. Bed was large for a single and comfortable - I'd prefer 2 pillows but many hotels supply only one. There was also a sofa, wardrobe, chest of drawers and table with chairs. Breakfast was standard bread (fresh and very nice), boiled eggs, meat & cheese with various spreads. Tea, coffee and orange juice plus some cereals. It was a bit cheap and cheerful but plenty to fill you up with. Location wise it is just a few minutes walk to the 71 tram and Zippererstraße U3 subway station. There's a cornershop next door open very late for cold drinks and a supermarket near the subway plus a number of cheap shops. Pensions are a step above a hostel but not quite a hotel. However for the price with private bathroom, WiFi and breakfast you can forgive the slightly older look and lack of extra niceties.

Economical Hotel in ViennaWe stayed here several days in September. This is a very budget friendly hotel. Hotels in Vienna can be really expensive if you stay at the center of Vienna. This was a hotel of good value. Our room was large and clean, the shower always had hot water immediately and the wifi always worked. Our room was quiet and we had a good night's sleep. Breakfast is adequate, plenty of coffee, tea, bread, cheese and meats. This hotel is located 5 minutes from the U-Bahn and a tram goes to the Opera House from here too. You can easily connect to anyplace in Vienna you want to tour. The neighborhood is safe, there is a Billa located near the U-Bahn for groceries, a BIPA for sundries, a bakery and a pharmacy down the road. The proprietress is extremely friendly and helpful. If you are an experienced budget traveler this is a good Vienna hotel for you.

Good value for budget travellerI stayed in Pension Peck for 5 night's recently. I had booked a single room but on arrival I was given a double room which was a great size and had a fridge plus a dining table & chairs which was an added bonus yes some of the rooms are in need of a little TCL but when you only want somewhere to sleep that is clean the decor is not a priority. The bathroom while a little dated was clean and the shower was good with plenty of hot water. The owners Tanya & Jordan are very friendly & helpful and if you need anything they do their best to help you. The breakfast is very good and plentiful and will certainty get you started for a busy day of sightseeing. The location is ideal as the underground is a few minutes walk away the tram passes the door and the train station is also within an easy walk. If like me you just want somewhere clean and safe to lay your head each night while spending your days sightseeing in Vienna then this is the place. The Central Cemetery where all the great musicians are buried is only a 10 min tram ride away and well worth a visit ask Tanya for information on how to get there. All in all I would recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Vienna on a budget.
