  Great little B&B

  Pension Kamifusen is in a "pension village" slightly northwest of lake kawaguchiko. The location is really gorgeous, but best suited for those who have their own car, as getting into town would be a long walk. Our host was very welcoming. He greeted us at the door, used a translation program to help communication, and even drove us to the bus stop at the conclusion of our stay so we would not have to make the trek with our bags. Great service! Our room had its own bath which was clean and well-appointed. Some of the other rooms used a shared bathroom. Breakfast was delicious!

  Fantastic lovely couple! Good meals

  We came to the pension by bus and were very supprised what we found. In the middle of the forest a couple of houses. Nice and warm welcome at the door. We came in a bit late but the host made us a meal anyway. Great service from the cutest Japanees couple. The wife is a great chef de cuisine! We had western type of food with a Japanese touch. After climbing Mount Fuji. diner was servered! Wauw. Breakfast was great to. He even drive us to the station the next morning! Great experience!

  Super warm welcome from the owner with the best food

  It's not a five start hotel. In fact, the room is very small (but clean and warm). But, with the warm welcome from the owner (and his wife), it made an unforgettable experience staying here for me. This place is quite far from town. However, you can go to Tourist information and tell the staff to contact the staff to pick you up. I recommend you all to pay for the breakfast and dinner which is the highlight of this place. It's like you're having meal with a family in the warm and cozy house. It's a pension in the village but you can hire bicycles (1000 yen) to ride around the lake. The owner even prepare me a hot tea and a glove. I recommend you all to ride the bicycles along the lake (20 km). It's a good experience for me and you'll see lots of great scenario. The owner can't speak english but he'll use Google Translator to try to communicate with you which I find it very adorable. There are two big cats which the owner let's them see us at night. You can stay in the lovely dinning room until late at night. The best thing about this place is the delicious food from owner's wife. It's worth every pennies.
