  Friendlu famely run pension at a good price

  We spend a week in April, May in this very nice pension. Very friendly owners, always willing to help. We got good advice about tours to be taken and interesting places to be seen. A good proper diner at a very fair price. Often an offer beside the set menu, which was always a surprise of high quality. This is a family run business, but the family puts lots of hard work, dedication and good feeling into it. We were very satisfied and can recommend this place to anybody.

  A pleasant place to stay

  Hi, in June we spent several perfect days in Hilpold Pension in Lana, Südtirol. Starting days by having look at beautiful landscape of Adige river valley, having breakfast on the sunny terrace, then biking all the day in wineyards and apple trees orchards or in the mountains between Merano and Bolzano, and after "busy" days enjoying both delicious meals of the Italian cuisine prepared by Josef Hilpold and nice, pleasant service of the whole Hilpolds family has meant only one- an earthly paradise. I can really recommend Hilpold Pension in Lana specially to those who look for active holiday (biking, hiking). Renata , Prague, CZ

  I would come again

  We had a double room for 3 nights and we had a pleasant stay. Everything is clean and neat, we had the essential but it was enough. The owner runs the hotel with his family and everyone is nice and try to help you with what you need. They have a small pool and a nice little garden with some cute black chickens !

  Love this cozy lodging

  We had such a wonderful time there during Christmas and New Year. Visited lots of romantic Christmas Markets around the area, easy to reach by bus and train. Had an excellent dinner at New Years Eve, some little surprises on the table and the plate! Than we just walked a 1/4 mile having a great outdoor party with drinks and DJ on Tribusplatz till .... 2016. The bed and bathrooms are newly refurbished and so cosy. Didnt wanted to get up, but the weather was too nice. We will be back soon!

  Lovely Pension in Lana

  This was my second stay at this warm and friendly little pension. After riding alpine passes in the rain and occasional hail all day, we parked the bikes in the garage below to be warmly welcomed by Doris with the key to our newly renovated rooms along with a refreshing glass of weissbier! After a shower and change of clothes we returned to the dining room for an excellent meal featuring locally sourced ingredients. The apple risotto was superb, and fresh cherries and other fruits grown in the area made an awesome dessert. We remained downstairs for a while to watch some EU cup soccer and drink a few more beers. Then upstairs to sleep with windows open to the fresh air and peaceful quiet of the nice little neighborhood surrounding the pension. In the morning we were again greeted by the lovely Doris with a nice cappuccino and a specially cooked breakfast to suite my American tastes. We could not have asked for a better place to spend the night!
