My friends and I stayed at the Pension Baarblick for one night while on our way to Switzerland. The pension's rooms were pleasant, clean and comfortable with an en-suite bath. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. There is a small lounge downstairs where one can get a beer or wine from the refrigerator on the honor system. There is also a computer available for guest use. For the mobility impaired, note there is no lift and the stairs are fairly narrow, plus you have to shlepp your own luggage. We drove to nearby Donaueschingen for dinner since the only place to eat in village was not open on Sunday. We were very comfortable and would not hesitate to stay again. Be sure and inform the pension of your anticipated arrival time. You will need a good map or GPS to find the village. No fans or air conditioning.

Black Forest / Danube bicycle trip
This was the perfect location to begin and end our bicycle tour of the Danube. Pension Baarblick is a charming guesthouse in a farming village. The home has quiet and spacious rooms, exceptionally comfortable beds, a generous breakfast and an overall feeling of comfort. We hope to return someday.
