  the house has a nice location near the beach and supermarket big common/dining room with stunning view big kitchen with all you need nice owners, who take care of anything all a surfer needs for a week in peniche

  Perfect place!

  I´ve been coming here for 7 years! Very friendly owners. Fully equiped beach house with ocean view and now brand new hostel next door. Single, dbl, or shared rooms, whatever you like. Full service including surf/kite/SUP lessons, kayaks, rental, trips, beach bar, transport from Lisbon Airport. Good pricing! You can join one or two week surf school at all levels. Instructors have international licenses FPS and know their work. I made a lot of new frienships here :-) And the waves... Just come and enjoy your stay! And remember, life is better when you surf!

  True beach house

  I have been visiting this place for a long time. It's a perfect place to rest and most important is surfing. The boss of this beach house has a surf and kite school very good equiped with professional instructors and all stuff. School is situated directly on the beach so you can keep there boards and all equipment. On the beach there is bar too. Between surf sessions you can eat something or even make a barbeque on the beach. Peniche is very good situated because there is many spots around (supertubos world class spot-ASP Championship each year) and other spots for riders from begginers to advanced. So I recommend this beach house. It's clean, good equiped place. And The Boss will do evertything to make your holiday beautyfull and you will never forget this place.   nice owners and atmosphere

  Nice owners and atmosphere, but accommodation is below average even for 2** hotels. If you are focused on the surf-camp and don't spend too much time on apartments then it should be fine. We had to request change of the towels and bedding, and the new ones also were rather poor.

  Very good base for the surf school, but average otherwise

  I was here for a couple of nights, travelling solo, I booked it through Booking.com (it has to be noted that there it's listed as a "hostel"; there is indeed a hostel in Peniche, but this is, in fact, just a shared apartment). I was staying in a room shared amongst 4 people max., with bunk beds. The fourth person was luckily missing, otherwise it would have been a bit packed. The room was O.K., for 20/night, but I had a look at the rooms upstairs and they are definitely nicer (the ones that appear on the pictures - if you can afford it, definitely ask for number 6!). The location is good if you have a car, there isn't a lot to do in Peniche, if you're travelling solo and you just want to explore and go to the beach, then you're better off in the hostel in town. Being said that - if you want to try surfing, this is the place. The surf school is just 10 minutes walk. The owner, Joao, is a really nice guy, passionate about surf, and on my arrival he brought me to see the surf school and also the Supertubos beach in his Jeep! Be aware that most people staying in the house will have booked their accommodation as a package with surf classes, sometimes in big groups, so if you're travelling solo and you're not there for surfing only, you might feel a little out of place and act as a filler of empty beds. I'd advise it's better to go with a friend, if you just plan to stay a couple of days and try out a couple of surf classes. You'll get a better value for money for a twin room. If I come back, I'd probably stay again if with a friend or a group of friends, and book a surf camp, but as to the accommodation itself, I this it's average when it comes to the shared room, better than average for shared spaces, but good value for money!
